(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 5 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 32 were illegally arrested.
Ms. Yang Lihua was arrested at her home by officers from the Changchun City Police Department and the Minkanglu Police Station on the morning of March 7, 2018.
The police ransacked Ms. Yang's home and confiscated her computer, printer, Falun Gong books and other personal items.
Ms. Zhang Guijuan and Ms. Zhang Guifen from Yushu City were arrested at the Yushu City Railroad Station by officers from the Zhanqian Police Station on March 8, 2018. The women were detained for five days, and their homes were ransacked.
Ms. Ma Fengxian, 77, from the Fangshan District was arrested at her home by officers from the Changyang Police Station on March 7, 2018, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. She was taken to a brainwashing center.

Ms. Feng Xisong was on her way to see her husband at Rushan Hospital on the morning of March 9, 2018 when she was arrested by officers from the Rushan City Commercial Street Police Station. She had been seen talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong, and had been reported by someone.
Ms. Feng was released that afternoon due to her having high blood pressure.
Ms. Du Wenli and her daughter were on their way to Jinan Prison on March 19, 2018, to visit her husband Mr. Liu Haohui, who was imprisoned for his belief in Falun Gong.
Ms. Du was arrested at the bus station. An officer tore up her ticket and took her to the Luofeng Police Station. The police then ransacked her home. Ms. Du was detained for 15 days.

Mr. Li Shaoyun was arrested sometime in August or September 2017 for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He is believed to be held in the Yulin City Detention Center.

Mr. Tang Hongqi, his wife, and their son were arrested at home. The officers ransacked Mr. Tang's home and his son's home. His wife has since been released.
Ms. Shi Zehui was sentenced to a three-and-a-half-year prison term.
Mr. Liu Yashan was arrested by officers from the Jingtian Police Station on March 3, 2018, for putting up Falun Gong fliers. He is being held in the Futian Detention Center for 15 days of detention.
Mr. Peng Shiqing, Mr. Zeng Gu, Mr. Wang Qingsheng, Mr. Lin Jia, Ms. Suo Jiyan, and Ms. Liu Manyan were arrested on August 14, 2017. They were later tried without their families' knowledge.
Mr. Peng was sentenced to nine years in prison. He cannot appeal the sentencing because the files related to his case were confiscated by the Shuangma Town Police Station. The sentencing of the other five practitioners is still unknown.
A total of 29 local Falun Gong practitioners were arrested between August 31 to October 13, 2017. Thirteen of the practitioners are still being detained and are now awaiting trail.
It is unknown who they are, except that their case files were forward to the Yilin County Court on February 13, 2018.
The arrested practitioners were: Mr. You, Ms. Liu Yumin, Ms. Xia Guihua, Ms. Wang Yunjie, Ms. Wu Yuqin, Ms. Deng Shumei, Ms. Bu Baoling, Mr. Song Konghua, Ms. Kang Yanling, Mr. Chen Jizhong, Mr. Li Chunlin, Ms. Qu Yanling, Ms. Li Guifang, Mr. Tian Hongwei, Mr. Tian Xiaolong, Ms. Zhang Jiuhui, Mr. Shi Rongxian, Ms. Yao Yulian, Mr. Tang Lifei, Mr. Zhou Yan, Ms. Shi Fengxiang, Ms. Zhao Guiqin, Ms. Pang Shuxian, Ms. Yu Fenglan, Ms. Jiang Guifen, Ms. Meng Lichun, Ms. Wu Yingqiu, Ms. Zhang Yinghua, and Ms. Shi Fenglan.
Mr. Cui Lu was arrested on March 19, 2009, and was later sentenced to nine years in prison for refusing to renounce his belief in Falun Gong. He was taken to the Jidong First Prison, where he continues to be tortured.
Mr. Cui was not allowed family visits for almost a year in 2017. When his wife was finally allowed to see him on January 11, 2018, they were only given three minutes to talk. Mr. Cui told her that he suffered from edema and lost some teeth from beatings by the guards.
On March 6, 2018, Mr. Cui yelled out “Falun Dafa is good!” at a prison meeting. He was beaten so badly that two of his incisors were knocked out.
Mr. Sun Miao was arrested by officers from the Yousong Police Station in the Longhua District on August 16, 2017. His home was ransacked and he was taken to the Baoan Detention Center.
Mr. Sun was transferred to the Nanshan Detention Center at the end of 2017. His case files were passed to the Nanshan Procuratorate and were then submitted to the Nanshan Court in February 2018.
When Mr. Sun's lawyer went to the court on March 5, 2017, he was told that his client's trial would be held in ten days.
Mr. Pan Yingshun and his wife Ms. Zhai Suping were arrested on the morning of January 19, 2018. Their arrest was approved by the Qinglong Procuratorate on March 5.
Mr. Liang Jianjun was sentenced to five years in prison at the end of 2017. He filed an appeal to the Shaoguan Intermediate Court, but the original sentence was upheld.
Mr. Liang's family was not notified of the court's decision, and only learned about it when his lawyer told them on March 6, 2018. The family plans to continue the appeal.
The Chuanying District Court secretly tried Ms. Chen Peihua, 66, on March 6, 2018. Her daughter submitted an application to defend her mother in court, but the court did not inform her of her mother's trial.
