(Minghui.org) The Kumeu Show 2018 outside of Auckland, New Zealand took place on March 10 and 11. With a tradition of 96 years, the exhibition featured equestrian events, shearing and wood chopping competitions, and other agricultural and horticultural activities.

Falun Dafa practitioners were invited to the event, where they put on a waist drum performance and displayed the Art of Zhen-Shan-Ren International Exhibition, which featured paintings depicting the persecution of Falun Dafa by the communist regime in China.

Local resident Linda said she liked the performance of the waist drummers. “It looks very good, and the costume is colorful,” she said.

Penny and her 7-year-old granddaughter Paige visited the art exhibition and looked at the paintings one by one.

Penny and her 7-year-old granddaughter Paige visited the Art of Zhen-Shan-Ren International Exhibition. Penny went through the paintings one by one with her granddaughter. She could not understand why such brutal persecution could occur in the world today. “Apparently, not everyone enjoys freedom as we do,” she explained to Paige.

Jacob said he had been following Chinese culture for a while. Drawn in by the serene group of meditators, he began to learn the Falun Dafa exercises.

Several students from the nearby Kaipara College said they had seen more Chinese students in recent years and wanted to learn more about Chinese culture. They were happy to receive Chinese calligraphy of their names. “Chinese characters are beautiful,” commented Brook, one of the students.
