Spreading the Truth While Working as a Night Club Chief of Security

March 13, 2018 |   By a practitioner in China

(Minghui.org) I worked in a nightclub for five years as chief of security, beginning in the winter of 2007.

After I told four security guards who worked for me about Falun Dafa, I helped them quit the Chinese Communist Party and its youth organizations.

I then helped the lobby manager, waiters, two co-owners, a light technician, sound person, host, and other employees do the same.

However, when I told the dancers about Falun Dafa and tried to help them quit, I met with failure. The dancers were young girls of 17 or 18 and from different provinces.

I adopted a new strategy of handing out Chinese New Year's Festival DVDs and World Chinese Dancing Competition DVDs (issued by NTDTV) to those girls. I then began to talk about quitting the Party and the results were pretty good.

Every night I started work at 6:00 p.m. and the show began at 7:30, with a 15-minute intermission. The nightclub used this break time to play games. I used that time to talk or hand out truth-clarification materials.

I had lived in this county for more than a dozen years, and sometimes in the nightclub, I ran into my former classmates, colleagues, or other people I knew, and I would tell them about Falun Dafa. After I explained the facts to them, I would continue to talk about Falun Dafa to nightclub audience members that I did not know.

A County Party Secretary and a Police Chief

A Party secretary from a nearby town often came to watch the shows in our nightclub. Sometimes he came in a car with one or two other officials; sometimes, he rode with seven or eight of them in two cars.

Once, a person called him by his official title during the gaming time, so I knew his surname. I later told him several times about Falun Dafa, but he refused to believe me.

About two months later, I saw him again in the nightclub. He came in with one foot wrapped in bandages. He told me that he had received “payback.” This time he agreed to quit the Party when I suggested it.

On another night, a police chief came in to see the show with about seven other officers and their family members and dates. The police chief bid 200 yuan to play a certain game. He said that, if he won, he would let me give them seven Falun Gong DVDs.

He won the game, and our nightclub paid him 200 yuan, so I ran to my dorm to get the seven DVDs. I first handed one to the police chief, then offered the rest to the other men and their dates. However, the first man refused to accept it. The police chief told him to take it, which he did, and the other men and their dates then took theirs, too.

A Village Party Secretary and a Singer

A car stopped in the middle of the entrance to our nightclub one night, blocking the driveway so that no other cars could drive in. I asked the driver not to park there, but he just ignored me and didn't move an inch.

Three people sat in the back seat. One of them got out of the car and punched at me twice. They all appeared to be a little drunk.

They wanted to continue hitting me, so I restrained myself and backed off. Two other security guards showed up and tried to mediate.

The three of them changed their attitudes right away, and each one apologized to me, invited me for a drink, and asked me what they could do to make it up to me.

I told them that, as a Falun Dafa practitioner, I do not drink, but what I wanted was for them to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.

The guy who hit me was a village Party secretary. Another person in their group, who had been jailed three times, had joined the Youth League, and the third one had joined the Young Pioneers. They all agreed to quit.

A singer from the northeast once came to perform in our nightclub. He told me that he was a CCP member, and when I advised him to renounce his Party membership, he got angry. He said, “People like you should be tied up and beaten to death!”

I looked within and found that I had no compassion, that I was just thinking about how quickly I could get him to quit. So I decided to talk to him again after his performance.

The host asked all of the performers to stay for a meeting, but the singer showed up with a bag on his back. I told him, “Ask anyone seated here if they still belong to the Party, the Youth League, or the Young Pioneers.”

The singer stood there, looking doubtful, and asked, “You all quit?”

They all confirmed that they had

The host suddenly held his fist high and shouted, “Falun Dafa is good!”

Others followed, saying, “Falun Dafa is good!”

The host continued to shout, “Long live Li Hongzhi!”

The others echoed, “Long live Li Hongzhi!”

I was surprised and shocked. I had never asked them to do that, nor had I ever told them about others who did.

Witnessing this, the singer immediately said in low voice, “Then, I quit, too.”

A Local Police Officer Quits

At around 6:00 p.m., a local policeman showed up at the nightclub with another person. He said that he had to register my name and address because this area was his responsibility.

He showed me a document issued by the local police department.

I said, “I am not moved even if you have a document from the local police department. I practice Falun Dafa and nothing can change that.”

He said that he just needed to register my name and that he would not interfere with my cultivation.

I said that it was all right to register my name but that he had to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. That would secure his future, I said.

I said, “It works as long as you quit sincerely, from your heart. But you have to wholeheartedly agree. Only then does it count. Do you agree to quit?”

He said, “I agree.”

The other person with him also agreed to quit the Young Pioneers. The people surrounding us all heard what I had said to them.

During the five years I worked at the nightclub, until 2012 when the owners decided not to renew their lease, I worked hard to ensure that everyone I came across had the opportunity to know more about Falun Dafa.
