(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment before their trial, 3 were given prison terms, at least 10 were illegally arrested, and three practitioners' whereabouts are currently unknown.

1. [Shanghai] Ms. Lin Baozhen Given a One-Year Prison Term

Ms. Lin Baozhen was tried by the Pudong Court on November 15, 2017. She was sentenced to a year in prison and fined. She has appealed.

2. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Qi Yanhui Given Three Years in Prison

Ms. Qi Yanhui was sentenced to three years in prison in the Jiaohe City Court. She is still in the Jiaohe City Detention Center.

3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Guo Ying and Husband Arrested

Ms. Guo Ying and her husband were arrested by officers from the Changchun City Police Department and the Chengxi Township Police Station in October 2017. Their DVD player and Falun Gong banners were confiscated. The couple's whereabouts are unknown.

4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Jiang Dianwu Detained

Mr. Jiang Dianwu from Helong Town in Nong'an County was arrested by officers from the Helong Town Police Station at noon on January 10, 2018. He was taken to the Changchun Detention Center and held for 15 days.

5. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liao Danyin Detained

Ms. Liao Danyin was arrested at the Futian Port Customs on the afternoon of January 8, 2018, for having Falun Gong books. She was taken to the Fuqiang Police Station before being transferred to the Futian Detention Center. Her home was ransacked.

6. [Rui'an City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Chen Hemei Arrested

Ms. Chen Hemei from Mayu Town was arrested at home by police officer Chen Zhao from the Rui'an City 610 Office on January 10, 2018. Her whereabouts are unknown.

7. [Hui County, Gansu Province] Ms. Yang Xuqin Given a Two-Year Prison Term

Ms. Yang Xuqin was recently given a two-year prison term and taken to the Lanzhou Women's Prison on December 4, 2017.

8. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liang Zhihong Detained

Mr. Liang Zhihong was arrested and his home ransacked Xinchengzi Police Station officers in the Shenbei New Area on December 4, 2017. He is still in the Qianjin Detention Center.

9. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Li Yan, Ms. Zhang Jingwen, Ms. Zhao Xiuzhi, and Ms. Chen from Linghai City were arrested by the local police department on the morning of January 13, 2018, for telling people about Falun Gong. Their situations are unknown.

10. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Xu Qinghua Arrested

Mr. Xu Qinghua from Changyingzi Town in Fumeng County was arrested at home by officers from the Changyingzi Police Station on January 6, 2018.

11. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Nine Practitioners Tried; Three Arrested

Nine practitioners were tried on December 26, 2017. They are: Mr. Li Shunjiang, Mr. Gao Fuping, Mr. Zhang Fuhai, Mr. Tian Yong, Mr. Wang Aihua, Mr. Zhao Yi, Mr. Zhang Liqun, Mr. Zhang Shimin, and Ms. Song Yulan. All nine had been tortured before their trial.

Ms. Xu Jingwen, Ms. Li Yanqiu, and a family member attended a different trial on the evening of December 25, 2017, and were arrested afterwards by city and district Domestic Security officers. Ms. Li has still not been released.
