(Minghui.org) I live in the countryside and began to practice Falun Dafa in May 2006. I have followed the requirements given by Master Li Hongzhi, the teacher and founder of Falun Dafa. I have studied the Fa and distributed truth-clarification materials about Dafa and its persecution by the Communist Party. Most importantly, I have followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to become a better person.
The road near our village was damaged by a flood in 2008, which made it difficult for traffic to get through. There were about 400 yards of damaged road. Some parts had only half of the pavement left. The road needed a lot of work. I spent ten days bringing in sand and repairing the road, restoring the flow of traffic. Over the years, I have done whatever I could to help the villagers.
The village cadres all know that I practice Falun Dafa and have helped the village for many years in many ways. The town party secretary, mayor, and village leaders came to visit me for the Chinese New Year in 2015. The party secretary said, “You have contributed a lot to the people in this town. We appreciate your kindness and want to wish you a happy New Year. These gifts are a token of our gratitude.”
I know that I have a responsibility as a Dafa practitioner during the Fa-rectification period. My home is at the junction of two towns. For the past ten years, I have been distributing Dafa materials to the surrounding towns and open markets in the villages. I distribute the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, posters, and calendars to educate everyone about Dafa and the persecution. I also give out pendants with the words “Falun Dafa is good” on them and ask the recipients to repeat those words to ensure a good future for themselves. Many amazing occurrences have happened to me along my journey. I am Master's student, and Master gave us the divine power to eliminate the old forces during the Fa-Rectification period.
I was questioned by police three times while I was out telling people about Falun Dafa. Each time I only thought about telling the police the facts about Dafa. With Master's protection, I returned home safely every time. Meanwhile, I also clarified the facts to the police who had participated in the persecution of practitioners and gave them the chance to make the right choice.
My first experience occurred in September 2016. I had just returned home after working in the field when the village party secretary and village head came to my home. They told me that the local police wanted to see me because I had filed a criminal complaint against former dictator Jiang Zemin for persecuting Falun Dafa. I went to the police station with the village cadres.
During interrogation, an officer asked if I had filed a criminal complaint against Jiang and if I knew that doing so was not allowed by the government. I told them I did file a complaint and it was allowed by the law. I told them Jiang's persecution of Dafa is illegal and that Falun Dafa is a self-cultivation practice that improves one’s physical and mental health. I told them Dafa practitioners are truly good people and contribute to society.
I also explained how I had benefited from Dafa: “I had herniated discs ten years ago, and I spent a lot of money on treatments, but nothing helped. The pain kept flaring up, and I couldn’t take care of myself. After practicing Falun Dafa, my spine became normal, and I no longer needed to take medicine or to go to the hospital. Why is such a good practice not allowed? Jiang Zemin brutally persecuted Falun Dafa and has caused massive corruption throughout the country. This cannot be tolerated–we have to have him prosecuted!”
The police recorded my words and took my fingerprints. I told the officers, “Did you not see that senior Communist Party officials like Zhou Yongkang, Bo Xilai, Li Dongsheng, and Xu Caihou have been punished? If you continue to participate in the persecution, you will be too.”
In my heart, I asked Master to help me. Soon the village party secretary asked the police to let me go home. I returned home safely.
The second time, I was reported to the police by a young man while I was distributing flyers. He asked me, “Do you still have some flyers? I want one too.” So I gave one to him. When I was about to leave, he stopped me and said, “Why hurry home? Enjoy the market a little longer.” I did not trust him and drove home right away. I was told later that a police car arrived after I had left. They tried to find me, but it was too late.
I went to the open market in town to distribute flyers again three days later. When I returned to my car for more flyers, the police were there waiting for me. They arrested me and took me to the police station.
The officers took me with them to search my home. On the way, I clarified the facts to them: “Falun Dafa practitioners are good people. Why don't you spend your time going after the true criminals? Why do you follow Jiang Zemin's orders to persecute good citizens? You will end up like Zhou Yongkang and other Party officials who persecuted Dafa. They’ve received karmic retribution.”
The officers asked me what they should do. I told them, “You must be good to practitioners. Do not arrest them.” They all listened when I spoke.
They searched my home and found a few brochures and DVDs. They saw my Dafa book Zhuan Falun and wanted to confiscate it. I told them they could not take the book. I asked Master for help. They did not take the book. When we returned to the police station, I saw the young man who had reported me three weeks earlier. I told him that I knew what he did and that reporting me was wrong. He could not even look me in the eye. The head of the police station then shook my hand and told me I was free to go.
My third encounter with the police occurred after I distributed flyers in a village market. Later that afternoon, three policemen came to my door. I was told,“We came to visit you because we heard you practice Falun Dafa. Can you tell us how long you have been practicing and what the benefits are?” I invited them in and explained that Falun Dafa is an advanced cultivation practice of the Buddha school that can improve one’s health and moral character. I told them Dafa practitioners are good people and treat others with kindness.
They listened intently as I told them about the persecution for a long time. Afterward, they mentioned that they saw me playing the erhu (a Chinese string instrument) when they walked up to my house. They asked if I would play a song for them. I did so, and they said I played well. They all shook my hand and said goodbye.
