October 26, 2018 |   By a Minghui correspondent in Tianjin, China

(Minghui.org) Ms. Huang Junjuan received a 7.5-year sentence, with a 10,000 yuan fine, issued by Wuqing District Court in Tianjin on September 17, 2018. She has appealed the sentence.

Ms. Huang was targeted for distributing information about Falun Gong on December 28, 2017, in a mass arrest along with 23 other practitioners in Tianjin.

Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a mind-body discipline persecuted by the communist regime since 1999.

Ms. Huang has been detained at Wuqing Detention Center since her arrest. The Wuqing Procuratorate submitted her case to the court in April. When the prosecutor visited her at the detention center, she refused to sign the indictment.

Wuqing District Court held a hearing for her on June 4. She was the first one from the December mass arrest to stand trial. She insisted that she only wants to be a good person in practicing Falun Gong and didn't violate any law in her spiritual pursuit. Her mother and sister attended the hearing.
