1. [Shanghai] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Wu Xindu, Ms. Cao Lingmei, and Ms. Jiang Fengqun from the Pudong New Area were arrested by plainclothes officers on the afternoon of January 14, 2018 for telling people about Falun Gong.

2. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Wen Shuying Detained

Ms. Wen Shuying was arrested by three plainclothes officers from the Baota Police Station who forced their way in when she just came home on the afternoon of January 9, 2018. Ms. Luan was also arrested at the same time. The two practitioners are currently held in the Weizigou Detention Center.

3. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Hongwei and Ms. Zhu Tiefeng Arrested

Mr. Zhang Hongwei from Beidi Village and Ms. Zhu Tiefeng from Zhuangzhen Village were arrested and their homes were ransacked by officers from the Changxingdian Town Police Station, Beizhen City, on January 11, 2018. They were released that afternoon.

4. [Wafangdian City, Liaoning Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Han Xuesong and five other practitioners were arrested by officers from the Liguan Town Police Station on the morning of January 13, 2018, for talking to people about Falun Gong at the Liguan Town farmers market.

5. [Chaoyang County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Yujuan Mistreated in Detention Center

Ms. Liu Yujuan from Boluochi Township was arrested by officers, from the Boluochi Police Station, who broke into her home on September 28, 2016. She has been held in the Chaoyang City Detention Center. She was given a seven-year prison term. During her detention, she was mistreated and developed a pelvic tumor. She lost a lot of blood. When the detention center guards took her to the prison, the prison officials refused to accept her.

Officers from the Heishan County Police Department and the Dahushan Police Station broke into Ms. Zhao Su'e's home in Dahushan Town on the morning of January 13, 2018. They arrested Ms. Zhao and her mother-in-law. They also confiscated a computer, and a printer, among other items. Both practitioners are currently held in the Jinzhou Detention Center.

7. [Liquan County, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Yuan Jianwa Arrested

Mr. Yuan Jianwa from Dongshan Village, Jianling Town, was arrested by officers from the Zhashui County Police Department on the evening of January 11, 2018.

His wife Ms. Li Meihua, who was arrested earlier by the Zhashui Police Department, has remained in police custody.
