Police in Shandong Force Villager to Curse Falun Gong and Its Founder

July 13, 2017 |   By a Minghui correspondent in Shandong Province, China

(Minghui.org) Four police officers recently forced a villager in Shandong Province to verbally abuse Falun Gong and its founder.

The four officers showed up in Wanjiagou Village in Qixia City, Shandong Province, on July 2, 2017, with a list of 12 Falun Gong practitioners. They wanted to take the practitioners’ photos.

Because the police didn't have the practitioners' addresses, they sought help from local villagers. But to their surprise, they were met with resistance.

The police returned that evening and, led by a village official, visited villagers who had given up practicing Falun Gong a long time ago.

At the home of Mu Guirong, the police asked her, “Do you still practice Falun Gong?”

She replied, “My husband learned it once. I'm illiterate. I only listened when he read the Falun Gong books. After he passed away, I never listened to it again.”

The police then ordered Mu to curse the founder of Falun Gong, Mr. Li Hongzhi.

“I’ve never cursed anyone before,” she protested. “Why would you ask me to do that?”

The police threatened her that they wouldn't take her name off the list if she didn't follow their instructions.

Intimidated by the police, Mu agreed reluctantly. The police told her what to say and videotaped her as she cursed Falun Gong and Mr. Li.

Other villagers condemned the police when they heard what happened.
