1. [Beijing] Ms. Ma Haifang's Original Verdict Upheld

Ms. Ma Haifang from Shijingshan District was given a one-and-a-half-year prison term on March 21, 2017. She appealed her case. The appeals court upheld the original verdict.

2. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Xiuzhen and Ms. Yuan Fangqun Arrested

Ms. Liu Xiuzhen and Ms. Yuan Fangqun from Huayang Town were arrested on May 18, 2017 for talking to people about Falun Gong. Ms. Liu was released the following day. Ms. Yuan's home was ransacked. Falun Gong books, two cell phones, and cash were confiscated. She was detained for seven days.

3. [Tianjin] Ms. Bai Fengling and Ms. Wang Huiqing Arrested

Ms. Bai Fengling and Ms. Wang Huiqing from Wangbuzhuang Village, Wangbuzhuang Town, Baodi District, were arrested by officers from the Wangbuzhuang Town Police Station. The officers ransacked their homes and confiscated Falun Gong books, materials, and paper currency bills with Falun Gong information printed on them.

4. [Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Wang Bin Arrested

Several officers from the Jiangmen City 610 Office and the Huayuan Police Station broke into Mr. Wang Bin's home and ransacked it on May 22, 2017. Mr. Wang, 41, and his 10-year-old daughter were taken to the police station. The daughter was brought back home that night.

Mr. Wang was followed many times and harassed at home. His phone was monitored. He was tortured while he was detained in a forced labor camp.

5. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wang Meiying Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Wang Meiying has been held in a brainwashing center for several days. Her situation is unknown.

6. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Sun Li and Ms. Wang Yaxin Detained

Ms. Wang Yaxin and Mr. Sun Li, employees at the Tangshan Steel Group, were arrested by Liu Shufeng, director of the Da'an Town Police Station, and other officers from the Yutian County Domestic Security Division on May 7, 2017 for talking to people about Falun Gong in Da'an Town, Yutian County. They were taken to the Yutian County Lockup Center that evening. Ms. Wang was transferred to the Tangshan No. 1 Detention Center on May 19, and Mr. Sun was taken to the Yutian Detention Center.

Mr. Zou Kewei was arrested at home by officers from the Linwu County 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of May 19, 2017. He was taken to a detention center.

Mr. Long Jiamu from Shuangshi Town, Yongchuan District, was arrested around May 19, 2017. Ms. Yan Linfeng from Huaqiao Township, Sanjiao Town, was arrested around April 20, 2017.
