(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 10 were illegally arrested.
Ms. Mao Huilan was arrested on March 23, 2017, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was taken to the Xingou Police Department and then to Wuhan No. 1 Detention Center. Her home was ransacked.
Ms. Mao was released because of her poor physical condition. Officers from the Xingou Police Department demanded that her son monitor her and to put up his home as bail. After he agreed to these conditions, his mother was released on April 4.
Mr. Gao Jian and Mr. He Zhirong were arrested by officers from the Jingan Police Station on April 7, 2017, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong . They were taken to Changli County Detention Center and their car was confiscated.

Mr. Jiang Shuncai and his wife Ms. Fan Surong were arrested on April 2, 2017, when they were talking to people about Falun Gong. They were taken to the Tangshan City Detention Center and denied family visits.

Ms. Du Xue and Ms. Wang Guiyin were sentenced on April 3, 2017. Ms. Du was sentenced to a two-year prison term and Ms. Wang to a one-and-a-half-years.
Ms. Qiao Guiying and Ms. Li Ruoping were harassed by officers from the Pingding County Police Station around April 6, 2017. Ms. Niu Wenwei was also harassed.
Mr. Gao Yonghua was arrested and had her home ransacked around March 4, 2017, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong.
Ms. Zhu Liju was arrested by officers from the Xuhui District on March 27, 2017, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books, informational materials, and other personal belongings. She was later released because she failed the physical exam.
Ms. Tang Meiying and Ms. Liu Xianhong were arrested by Anren County Police Station officers on April 5, 2017, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. They were detained for 15 days and their homes were ransacked.
Mr. Xin Linyuan was harassed at home by two officers on April 5, 2017.
Ms. Zhu Xiyu was sentenced to four years in prison on April 7, 2017. She may be being held in the Yanji City Detention Center.

Ms. Wang Yulan was arrested by officers from the Xianfeng Town Police Station on January 5, 2017. She was taken to a detention center. Seven days later, she was taken to the Changchun City No. 4 Detention Center. She was denied family visits.
While in the Changchun City No. 4 Detention Center, she was tortured. She was forced to get injections and was force-fed. As a result, she had difficulty hearing and was in extreme pain. She is now in the Yushu City Detention Center.
Ms. Shan Qiuju was recently arrested by officers from the Zhongchang Police Station. She was taken to Yaojia Detention Center.

Mr. Zhao Yunqiang and Mr. Zhou Yuhua were sentenced on April 5, 2017, in the Ya’an City Court. Mr. Zhao was sentenced to four years in prison. Mr. Zhou was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison. Both practitioners had been held at the Duoying City Detention Center for 19 months.
Mr. Chen Heliang's home was ransacked twice by officers from the Huanghua Police Station on April 8, 2017. He was at work and his 84-year-old mother was home alone.
