Dalian, Liaoning Province: Senior Citizens Targeted for Their Faith in Falun Gong

(Minghui.org) The Chinese communist regime’s persecution of Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline based on the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, has spared no one, and many elderly Falun Gong practitioners have endured tremendous suffering.

In Dalian City, Liaoning Province, Ms. Zhang Chengjun, 78, was released on February 17, 2017 after serving three years in prison.

Mr. Ma Ruitian, 73, is serving 8.5 years at Shenyang First Prison. He is nearly blind due to the abuse he suffered at the prison.

Ms. Ding Beihua, 76, was sentenced to 4 years in prison following her arrest on July 19, 2013. She was set for release on July 18, 2017.

Ms. Qin Shulan, 69, was sentenced to 4 years in prison and transferred to Liaoning Women’s Prison on March 28, 2017.

Ms. Wang Weizhen, nearly 70, is incarcerated at Liaoning Women’s Prison, though her term remains to be investigated.

Ms. Lei Guanghua, 71, remains at a local detention center.
