(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 19 were illegally arrested.

Ms. Wu Fang was held at Tianhe Detention Center for ten days.

2. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Cui Chunlian Harassed

Several officers from the Hangu Farm Domestic Security Division and the local police station went to Ms. Cui Chunlian's home to arrest her on May 2, 2017, but their efforts were in vain, due to the villagers' efforts. The police only confiscated volumes of Minghui Weekly.

3. [Tonghua County, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Qiaoxiu Detained

Ms. Zhang Qiaoxiu was arrested by officers from the Ermi Town Police Station on May 3, 2017. She is being held at the Changliu Detention Center in Tonghua City.

4. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen Ying Detained

Ms. Chen Ying was arrested by officers from the Dadongmen Police Station on May 1, 2017. She is still being held at the Jilin City Detention Center.

5. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested

Nine practitioners, including Ms. Wang Yuhong and Ms. Wang Xuefeng, were arrested by officers from the Lindian County Domestic Security Division, along with local police officers, on May 3, 2017, for suing Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator.

6. [Sanmenxia City, Henan Province] Mr. Cao Yu's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Cao Yu was arrested at home around February 21, 2017. His whereabouts are unknown.

7. [Xian City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Yang Liying and Ms. Chen Cuizhen Detained

Ms. Yang Liying was arrested on March 22, 2017. She is being held at the Xinhe Brainwashing Center in Baqiao District.

Ms. Chen Cuizhen was arrested by officers from the Changlefang Police Station on March 21, 2017. Her arrest was approved by the Beilin District Procuratorate. She is being held at the Beilin District Detention Center.

8. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Cui Xiuhua Arrested

Ms. Cui Xiuhua was arrested at home on May 4, 2017.

9. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Xiaoling Sentenced

Ms. Wang Xiaoling was arrested at home by officers from the Jiulidi Police Station and local community office in December 2015. The police confiscated all of her equipment and supplies for producing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong.

She was taken to the Chengdu City Detention Center, and sentenced to a four-year prison term in September 2016. She is now being held at the Longquan Women's Prison.

10. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Tao Jiaping Leaves Home to Avoid Persecution

Mr. Tao Jiaping was harassed at his workplace by police officers, including Dong Xiaochun, from Xinzhou District on May 2, 2017. The police confiscated several Falun Gong books, Minghui Weekly, and other informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. Mr. Tao had leave home to avoid further persecution.

11. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Guiling Detained

Ms. Wang Guiling was arrested and held at Linqing Detention Center.

12. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Meng Jianxin Harassed

Several officers, including Sun Yihe from Anping County Domestic Security Division, broke into Ms. Meng Jianxin's home on May 4, 2017. They confiscated Falun Gong books, informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong, Minghui Weekly, and other belongings. When her husband tried to stop them the police injured his arm.

13. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Five Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhang Xiuzhen, who was sentenced to a one-and-a-half-year prison term, was taken to prison in February 2017.

Ms. Chen Xiulian and her sister Ms. Chen Bihui appealed their sentence, but the Shunqing District Intermediate Court upheld the original sentence in mid-April 2017. Both were taken to a prison on May 3.

Mr. Liu Zhaoliang and his wife Ms. Du Xiuyun are still being held at the Huafeng Detention Center.

14. [Foshan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Liang Qixia and Mr. Chen Yongkai Arrested

Ms. Liang Qixia and her non practitioner husband Mr. Chen Yongkai were arrested by officers from the Xiqiao Police Station on May 2, 2017. They are currently being held at the Shishan Detention Center in Nanhai District.
