Taiwanese Indigenous People Sign Petition Calling for End to Persecution of Falun Gong in China

May 25, 2017 |   By a Falun Gong practitioner in Taiwan

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in Hualien, Taiwan have traveled to every township and tribal area in the county to spread the beauty of Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) and raise awareness of the persecution of the practice in Mainland China, especially the regime's state sanctioned killing of practitioners and harvesting their organs for the lucrative transplantation trade.

This report covers visits to Wanrong Township, a mountain indigenous township, and nearby townships and remote tribal communities last Sunday May 21, 2017.

Most of the township residents and visitors have learned about the forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners in the mainland from the media and internet.

They condemned the brutality and were happy to have an opportunity to sign a petition to show their support for practitioners' efforts to bring chief culprit Jiang Zemin to justice. Jiang is former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) who launched the 18-year persecution.

Heads of Dafu Village and Mizhan Village sign a petition calling for an end to the forced organ harvesting of prisoners of conscience in mainland China.

"Live organ harvesting is an illegal act, and it is inhuman to kill another person for money," said the head of Dafu Village. "I'd like to join the effort to call for an end to the persecution of Falun Gong."

Mr. Xu, head of Mizhan Village said, "Such a thing (killing practitioners for their organs) hasn't been covered by the media until recent years. Both Gods and humans are outraged by such an evil deed. We should sign the petition to call for an end to it."

Practitioners go door to door to distribute informational materials and set up display boards to raise awareness.

Two young brothers said that their teachers told them about the persecution of Falun Gong and the forced organ harvesting in China. They had signed the petition at school and hoped that their family members would have the opportunity to sign, too.

Villagers sign the petition to show their support for Falun Gong.

A young lady said that she enjoyed seeing the large posters worded "Falun Dafa Is Good" along the roadside. She said that she was upset when she learned about the forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners several years ago and wanted to do something to help Falun Gong practitioners. She was pleased to have this opportunity to sign the petition to call for an end to the persecution.

This young woman believes that the more people voice their support, the stronger the strength to stop the Chinese Communist Party from committing crimes.
