(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 12 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 13 were illegally arrested.
Ms. Wen Ying was arrested on June 28, 2016, when she was visiting her son in Dalian City. She was tried on February 22, 2017, and sentenced to seven years in prison.
Mr. Jiang Tao's family received a phone call from the Yongning County Court on April 14, 2017. They were told to go to the courthouse to pick up the verdict for Mr. Jiang, who was sentenced to two years in prison.
Mr. Wang Yongqing was sentenced to five years and taken to Jilin Prison.
Ms. Yang Shundi was tricked into going to the Nan Street Police Station on the morning of April 14, 2017. The police tried to make her sign paperwork, which she refused to do. The police then took her to the Huaideqiao Police Station.
Mr. Zhang Xuecai and Mr. Li Ping were arrested by officers from the Yaqueling Police Station on April 13, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong.
Ms. Li Mengxiang was arrested at home by Fuzihe Police Station officers on April 12, 2017. She was taken to the Xinzhou District Police Department in Wuhan City.
Ms. Liu Xiukun was arrested and taken to the Xianyang Road Police Station by plainclothes officers on the morning of April 12, 2017, for distributing Falun Gong materials in the Tangjiawan area in the Hongqiao District. The police ransacked her home twice but did not find anything. Ms. Liu was released very late that night.
Mr. Liu Zhihong was arrested on April 12, 2017. He was held in the Yangjialong Detention Center for five days.
Ms. Liang Yanli was arrested in the Zijingshan area on the morning of April 11, 2017. Her home was ransacked. She is now in the Zhengzhou City No. 3 Detention Center.
Mr. Zhang Hansan, in his 60s, was arrested on the afternoon of April 11, 2017, for talking to a plainclothes officer about Falun Gong. His home was ransacked,and he was taken to the Weifang City Detention Center.
Mr. Sun Baifang and his wife Ms. Zhao Junfeng returned to their hometown in Qian'an County to apply for ID cards on the afternoon of April 10, 2017. The police searched Ms. Zhao's bag and found a few Falun Gong informational stickers and DVDs with software to break through the Internet firewall. The couple were arrested and held in the Qian'an County Detention Center.
Mr. Liu Shenghua was arrested on the morning of April 6, 2017.
Ms. Liu Suyuan and Ms. Geng Sufen were arrested on March 14, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong. Ms. Geng is released on bail. Ms. Liu's whereabouts are unknown.

The Hancheng Police Station launched an all-out campaign to arrest over 40 practitioners at the No. 6 Bus Company on the morning of March 22, 2017.
Twelve practitioners were taken to the Weiyang District Detention Center that day. Mr. Li Zirong, Ms. Ren Yubing, Mr. Chai Qiang, Ms. Li Xuesong, Ms. Xu Xiangmei, and another senior practitioner remain in custody.
Five officers from the the Gangkou Police Station and Hu Ming from Xixinqiao Village broke into Mr. He Shengxiang's home on the afternoon of April 12, 2017, when no one was at home. They confiscated a Falun Gong book and other personal belongings.
Six people from the Lingshui Police Station and the residential community went to Mr. Chen Furong's home in Baihe Village on January 10, 2017. They questioned Ms. Chen about his lawsuit against Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party, who initiated the persecution of Falun Gong. They also took Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and a computer, without showing any legal documents.
