(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 10 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 13 were illegally arrested.

1. [Shanghai] Ms. Wang Huiping Detained

Ms. Wang Huiping was arrested by officers from the Luhui Town Domestic Security Division, Minhang District, on March 16, 2017, for distributing Falun Gong materials. She is being held in the Minhang District Detention Center for 15 days detention.

2. [Beijing] Mr. Wei Junru Abused in Detention Center

Mr. Wei Junru was arrested for distributing Falun Gong materials and was held in the Shunyi Detention Center. He was forced to sit on a wooden board for 12 hours a day.

He had to get permission to a drink water or use the toilet.

3. [Zigong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Shaofang Forced to Take Unknown Drugs During Custody

Ms. Yang Shaofang, 71, was arrested at her home by officers from the Xihu Police Station on October 20, 2016. She is being held in the Guangda Hospital Training Center and is forced to take unknown drugs daily, under the watch of police officers, doctors, and nurses.

4. [Zigong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Wanfang and Ms. Li Yongshu Still Imprisoned

Ms. Zhang Wanfang from Fushi Town is still being held in prison.

Ms. Li Yongshu, 76, is currently in prison. She was twice sentenced to prison, totaling six years.

5. [Zigong City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Daqun Passes Away

Ms. Chen Daqun, 76, was given two prison terms totaling eight years. After her release, she suffered whole body edema. She passed away at the end of January 2017.

6. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Mr. Ji Guangkui Arrested

Mr. Ji Guangkui was recently arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong in the Chaohu area.

7. [Linquan County, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhao Yunbin Arrested

Ms. Zhao Yunbin from Tanpeng Town was arrested on her way to work on February 27, 2017.

She was taken to the Jiulong Town Police Station, Fuyang City. Officers took 4,000 yuan in cash from her. Her whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Huimin County, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Jixia Detained

Ms. Li Jixia from Lizhuang Town was reported to the authorities for talking to people about Falun Gong on March 15, 2017.

She was arrested by officers from the Lizhuang Town Police Station, and is being held in the Binzhou City Police Department's Detention Center.

9. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yan Lizhen Arrested

Officers from the Dongguan Police Station broke into Ms. Yan Lizhen's home and ransacked it on the morning of February 5, 2017. A computer worth 3,000 yuan and a cell phone were confiscated.

She was taken to the police station and interrogated. She was released that afternoon.

10. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Zhu Dajiang and Ms. Liu Yu'e Detained

Mr. Zhu Dajiang from the Longhua New Area was arrested by officers from the Guanlan Police Station on January 1, 2017. He is being held in the Baoan District Detention Center.

Ms. Liu Yu'e was arrested by officers from Zhaoshang Police Station, Nanshan District, on February 28, 2017. She is being held in the Nanshan Detention Center.

11. [Taicang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Shi Zehui Arrested

Ms. Shi Zehui was arrested at the end of February 2017. Her whereabouts are unknown.

12. [Puyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Ni Jinzhi Taken to Brainwashing Center

Officers from the Zhongyuan Oilfield 610 Office coerced Ms. Ni Jinzhi's family to take her to a brainwashing center.

Ms. Ni, 70, was under great mental pressure in the brainwashing center, and could not eat or sleep well. She developed a high fever and felt drowsy a week later.

Afraid of being held responsible if she died, officials at the brainwashing center released her.

13. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Li Huandi, Ms. Yu Guiyun, and Ms. Dai Cuihua from the Caidian District were arrested by officers from the Caidianhe Street Police Station on February 20, 2017.

14. [Wuxue City, Hubei Province] Mr. Guo Guoshun Arrested

Mr. Guo Guoshun from Longping Town was arrested by Li Weiwen, deputy director of the Longping Town Police Station; Liao Yuanfeng, and other officers on March 17, 2017. An officer with the last name Guo beat him.

Ms. Zhang Ximei was arrested on March 20, 2017, for distributing Falun Gong materials. Her home was ransacked by officers from the domestic security division.

16. [Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Yang Yuanqin Passes Away Due to Persecution

Ms. Yang Yuanqin, 40, passed away on December 7, 2016.

She was arrested by officers from the Zhongshan District Police Department on February 27, 2016, and her home was ransacked. She was forced to pay 2,000 yuan bail before being release.

Dong Hui, head of the domestic security division, went to her home many times to threaten her to give up her belief. She was forced to leave home for her own safety.

17. [Chishui City, Guizhou Province] Mr. Dai Qiyuan Arrested

Mr. Dai Qiyuan, in his 60s, was arrested on March 19, 2017. His whereabouts are unknown.

18. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Xingge Taken to Detention Center

Ms. Liu Xingge, 50, from the Ganjingzi District, was arrested by officers from the Dalianwan Police Station on December 19, 2016, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was taken to a detention center.

19. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Fan Longsheng Arrested

Mr. Fan Longsheng was arrested by Jiansanjiang police officers on March 18, 2017.
