“I hope that after going home everyone will make the best use of his or her time for genuine cultivation.” (Zhuan Falun)
Whenever I read this sentence, I think of how to genuinely cultivate. “Genuine cultivation” to me now means to study the Fa more with a pure mind and do the three things well. Only by doing it this way will I succeed.
Master also said,
“For a cultivator, looking within is a magical tool.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2009 Washington DC International Fa Conference”)
Although I knew the principle of looking within, I did not always do it. I did not like to be criticized, and sometimes felt resentful and unbalanced when I helped with Dafa projects. Master gave me a hint early one morning in a dream where a practitioner from a higher realm helped pull me up.
Later that day, I ran into a fellow practitioner who began pointing out my shortcomings. At home, I thought that since I must not be doing well in cultivation, Master had that practitioner help me improve. I then began looking inward, strengthened my sending of righteous thoughts, and studied the Fa.
I also often recited “Who's Right, Who's Wrong” from Hong Yin III,
“As a cultivatorOne always looks for one’s own faults’Tis the Way to get rid of attachments most effectivelyThere’s no way to skip ordeals, big or small[During a conflict, if you can remember:]“He’s right,And I’m wrong,”What’s to dispute?
My attachment to not being criticized then suddenly disappeared, and my energy field became clearer. After this incident, I became more diligent in doing the three things well.
The coordinator asked me to set up a materials production site in my house in 2008. I agreed to do it since I lived alone, and all of my children believe in and support Dafa. I was able to operate the site with help from another practitioner.
It was very difficult at first to make the materials because I had never used a computer before. Sometimes, I could not log on to the Internet, and other times, the printer did not work. Fortunately, with the wisdom given by Master and Dafa I was able to solve all the issues I encountered.
During the process of producing the materials, many of my attachments were removed, especially my impatience.
I have also eliminated my dependence on other practitioners for the necessary supplies for materials production. For the safety of other practitioners, I learned to buy ink online or from stores, or ask my daughter to help buy the supplies.
Although my income is not much, I am in a better financial state than other practitioners who ran materials production sites when the persecution was most severe.
One fellow practitioner found a well-paying job after she graduated from a university. Many of us thought she was rich, but we were wrong. She told us, “I use most of my income to help save people and only have a few hundred yuan on me.” In this regard, I am very well off!
In order to save more people who had been poisoned by the Party's lies about Dafa, I am willing to make every effort to do well in Dafa projects. Without compassionate Master, I would not have anything.
Group Fa-study is the path arranged by Master. For more than ten years, the practitioners in my area have been firmly walking on the path of cultivation according to Master’s requirement.
Our group study consists of six practitioners in our fifties. We study the Fa every evening, regardless of whether we are busy or not.
When it comes to clarifying the facts to people, there are many ways to do it. As long as we do it according to Master's requirements, we will succeed. Master has already laid the path for us and we just need to go do it.
On Falun Dafa Day and the Chinese New Year holiday, we go out to put up Dafa posters and hang banners. We also go to the market once a week to talk to people about the persecution.
On one occasion, the practitioner who was with me gave a book about former Party head Jiang Zemin to an elderly lady we often met, and who had refused to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
Upon seeing that the book was about suing Jiang for initiating the persecution of Falun Dafa in China, she was pleased and said, “Jiang Zemin should be sued. Whoever has seen him on TV will curse at him.”
We said to her, “Now, more than 200,000 people have sued Jiang Zemin.” The woman immediately agreed to quit the CCP.
Another time, we went to a village and came across a man repairing his house. We went over and asked if he had heard of doing the three withdrawals. He said, “I cannot quit the CCP as I am a Party member. The Party has given me money, and my wage was recently increased by 50 yuan.”
“Actually, it is not the CCP who has given you money. The money is paid by the taxpayers, and you are one of them.” I told him.
He eventually quit the Party after learning the facts about the persecution.
