Shenzhen Woman Detained for Her Faith

December 06, 2017 |   By a Minghui correspondent in Shenzhen, China

(Minghui.org) A Shenzhen City resident credits Falun Gong for returning her to good health and giving her the strength to care for her three children, including twin daughters.

Now, however, she is facing indictment for refusing to renounce the spiritual discipline based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

Ms. Zhu Yi was arrested at home on October 7, 2017. Gao Shichao and Yang Jian and more than two dozen other police officers ransacked her home without showing any ID or a search warrant.

The police didn’t give Ms. Zhu an inventory of the items confiscated from her home. They also kept her husband and twin daughters detained for 24 hours.

Ms. Zhu remains in Futian Detention Center, where she has been suffering from chest pain, kidney failure, a constant cough, and urinary urgency. Her family is calling for the public to pay attention to her plight.

This is not the first time that Ms. Zhu has been targeted for her faith since the Chinese communist regime launched its persecution of Falun Gong in 1999. She has been arrested numerous times and once served two years of forced labor.

In order to avoid further arrests, she and her family left their home in Jiaoling County, Guangdong Province, and moved to Shenzhen City to make a living.
