Police Chief Takes Falun Gong Literature and Gives Me a Ride Home

December 26, 2017 |   By a Falun Gong practitioner in Liaoning Province, China

(Minghui.org) Many Falun Gong practitioners have been harassed or even arrested after they filed criminal complaints against former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin for initiating the persecution of Falun Gong. I’d like to share my understanding of this issue.

Master has said,

“For a cultivator, looking within is a magical tool.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2009 Washington DC International Fa Conference”)

We practitioners are supposed to play leading roles on the world stage during Fa rectification. We are doing the most righteous thing by seeking justice against Jiang. Why are we facing further persecution for filing lawsuits against him?

I believe that we should look within to see whether we are playing leading roles when we clarify the truth to those in law enforcement and the justice system who harass us. We should have sympathy for them because they are the real victims that we need to save. That’s what I did in late May 2015 when I filed a lawsuit against Jiang.

Not long after I mailed out the complaint, the police and local officials showed up at my home and ordered me to sign a document saying that I had “defamed Jiang.” My first thought was to seize the opportunity and tell them why Jiang must be held liable for the crimes he has committed against Falun Gong practitioners.

I listed more than ten crimes committed under Jiang’s directive, including the staged self-immolation incident on Tiananmen Square and the live organ harvesting of detained practitioners. I told them that Jiang must be brought to justice and warned them that they would also face consequences if they continued to follow Jiang’s persecution policy.

They told me that they had no choice but to follow orders from the top. I said that I’d never sign their document, but I did offer each of them a package of Falun Gong informational materials for further reading. I told them that they would have to sign for the package to acknowledge that they had received it. One of them agreed, but as I went inside to get a pen and paper, they left.

A few days later I brought several packages of Falun Gong literature to the local police station and justice departments. I gave everyone a package and asked them to sign a receipt. A police officer told me that he couldn’t take the package if he had to sign. I figured he was afraid someone might discover he had taken Falun Gong materials, so gave him a package anyway.

Master said in Fa Teaching at the 2016 New York Fa Conference:

“…some practitioners clarify the facts directly at the local police stations, public security bureaus, or government buildings, and some have even done really well.”

Inspired by Master’s teachings, I recently visited the local police station again after a dozen local practitioners were arrested for suing Jiang. I brought a package of Falun Gong literature, along with a copy of my 10-page criminal complaint against Jiang. I gave them to the police chief and explained to him how I was persecuted and showed him a photo of me looking emaciated after I was tortured. I explained everything in the literature.

In the end, the police chief signed the receipt for the package and drove me home. My neighbors said to me, “In the past the police were often here to arrest you. Now they are giving you a ride home.” I explained how I had befriended the police. The police chief told me that I was welcome at the police station any time. I told him that he was welcome at my house.
