Be Truthful When Clarifying the Truth

December 10, 2017 |   By a practitioner from China

(Minghui.org) Another practitioner recently shared with me something that happened with her daughter. When her daughter was on vacation, she met a practitioner on the train. After they talked, she called her mother and said, “The practitioner I met said that the Chinese president will restore the reputation of Falun Gong and stop the persecution soon. Why didn't you tell me?” Her mother didn't know what to say.

When we clarify the truth we should be truthful, since we practice Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. We should remember that we are cultivators and our mission is to save people. We should tell people what we know, instead of adding our own ideas or making up stuff.

As to the current political regime in China, Master has addressed this issue. My own understanding is that we do not promote or criticize officials. We don't get involved in politics or comment on them, because politicians must be allowed to choose their future. Many high-ranking officials have fallen after persecuting Falun Gong. The Chinese president is following heaven's will, and that is all we should tell people. They will think it over and make their own judgment. We should not pin our hopes on the current president and whether he will stop the persecution or not. If we are attached to this, the old forces will take advantage of this loophole. We have encountered serious lessons about this before.

As practitioners, we play the leading role, and everyday people came here to be saved. When we explain the situation, it's their decision to choose which side they align themselves with. If we cultivate ourselves well and do a good job clarifying the truth, people will make the right choice and this persecution will end naturally.

However, if we hope that everyday people will end the persecution for us, we may have the opposite results and many people may lose the chance to be saved.

When we submit reports to the Minghui website or hand out truth-clarifying materials, we should pay attention to what is in them and check to see if everything is accurate. We should not add things that come from our own imaginations, nor should we exaggerate what happened. This is a serious issue which may affect the image and credibility of Falun Gong. We wish to save people, so we must be truthful.

We should tell people what we know, even if what we know is limited. If our starting point is to save people, the results will be good.
