(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 10 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 22 were illegally arrested.

1. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Shufan Fired by Work Place

Ms. Wang Shufan was arrested by officers from the Yushugou Police Station on the morning of August 9, 2017, for suing Jiang Zemin, the former head of the communist regime. She was held in the Jilin City Detention Center for 10 days. After she returned to work, she was told that she was fired.

2. [Hunchun City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Li Jie, Ms. Tai Juhua, Ms. Lang Shuyan, and Ms. Wang Wenxiu were arrested by officers from the Hunchun City Police Department on October 9, 2017. They were taken to a detention center.

3. [Linqu County, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Chongxin and Mr. Li Ruijiang Arrested

Mr. Wang Chongxin and Mr. Li Ruijiang from Wujing Town were arrested and their homes ransacked on October 8, 2017. Mr. Wang was released on bail after being extorted 5,000 yuan. Mr. Li was also released.

4. [Taicang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Dong Meiying Arrested

Ms. Dong Meiying was recently arrested and her home ransacked.

5. [Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Chen Jing Arrested

Ms. Chen Jing was arrested on October 12, 2017.

6. [Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Zhu Zuoxin Arrested

Mr. Zhu Zuoxin was arrested at home by staff from the Jindong District Government and plainclothes officers on the evening of October 11, 2017.

7. [Shanghai] Ms. Zhang Muying and Ms. Li Ya Detained

Ms. Zhang Muying and Ms. Li Ya from Hubei Province were arrested in Shanghai by plainclothes officers on October 6, 2017 for talking to people about Falun Gong. They were taken to the Qingpu Detention Center, Shanghai.

8. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Transferred to Brainwashing Center After Detention

Ms. Mao Cuiying, Ms. Chen Ping, and Ms. Zhou Shaohua were transferred to the Anlu Brainwashing Center, which is also known as the Chengdong Clubhouse, after they were released from detention.

9. [Yingcheng City, Hubei Province] Ms. Tian Fengying Arrested

Ms. Tian Fengying was arrested by patrol officers from the Chengzhong Police Station at noon on October 9, 2017. She was taken to the police station, where she was threatened. The officers took her fingerprints and made her sign a document. She was taken home by the officers at 11L00 p.m. that night.

10. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. He Xiuli, in her 50s; Ms. Chen Shanglan, 72; Ms. Cui Min, 71; and Ms. Yang Mingfang, 64; from Suizhou City, Hubei Province, were arrested on the evening of September 14, 2017 for distributing Falun Gong materials in Tongbai County, Nanyang City, Henan Province. Ms. He's car was confiscated. The four practitioners were taken to the Nanyang City Detention Center for 14 days of detention.

After 14 days, the detention center and the Tongbai Domestic Security Division refused to release them. Ms. Yang developed high blood pressure, and was forced to take antihypertensive pills and unknown drugs.

11. [Ningxiang County, Hunan Province] Mr. Zhu Puzhao Arrested

Mr. Zhu Puzhao was arrested on the afternoon of October 12, 2017. The police ransacked his home and confiscated a computer and phone book.

12. [Cixi City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Zu Chao and Ms. Liu Ruiyu Officially Placed Under Arrest

Mr. Zu Chao and his wife Ms. Liu Ruiyu from Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province, worked on odd jobs in Cixi City, Zhejiang Province. The couple was arrested by the Cixi City police on September 7, 2017. They were officially placed under arrest on October 7. Ms. Liu has been on a hunger strike since the start of her arrest.

13. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Qu Wei Arrested

Mr. Qu Wei was arrested at the Nanfen Train Station by officers from the Railroad Police Station on October 10, 2017. The officers confiscated the book Zhuan Falun. The officers then ransacked his home and confiscated a computer. He was released that afternoon.

14. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Shaozhi Detained

Mr. Li Shaozhi from Heilongjiang Province was arrested by officers from the Minkang Police Station, Changchun City, Jilin Province, in September 2017. He was taken to the Changchun City No. 3 Detention Center.

15. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Seven Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wang Zhenxia, Ms. Liu Guirong, Ms. Li Erping, Ms. Li Siping, Ms. Xue Zhiru, Ms. Li Guannan, and Ms. Liu Aizhi were arrested by officers from the Lingqiu County Domestic Security Division and the Police Department on the morning of October 11, 2017. They were taken to the Datong City Detention Center.
