(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 28 were illegally arrested.

1. [Chongqing] Several Practitioners Taken to Brainwashing Center

Officers from the Lianglu Police Station, along with staff from the neighborhood administration and residential committee, arrested about half a dozen practitioners on July 18, 2017.

Mr. Wang Ping and Mr. He Jianping were among those arrested. They were taken to the Shuangyuyuan Brainwashing Center, and released six days later.

2. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Sun Hongzhu's Home Ransacked

Mr. Sun Hongzhu's home was ransacked by the Shouguang City police on the morning of September 16, 2017. Mr. Sun managed to escape before they were able to arrest him.

3. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wei Guijun Arrested

Ms. Wei Guijun from the Jiguan District was arrested on the morning of September 16, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong.

4. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Jinlan and Ms. Liu Xueping Detained

Ms. Wang Jinlan and Ms. Liu Xueping, from Yulinpu Village, Kangzhuang Town, Yanqing District, were arrested again at their homes by officers from the Kangzhuang Police Station on the morning of September 15, 2017.

Both practitioners are being held in the Changping Detention Center.

5. [Bei'an City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Ma Yitao, Ms. Sheng Chunxia, and Mr. Li Xueliang were reported to the authorities for distributing Falun Gong materials on September 10, 2017. They were arrested by officers from the Bei'an City Police Department and security officers. Their cars and personal belongings were confiscated.

The three practitioners were taken to the Bei'an City Police Department's Detention Center.

Officers from the Bei'an City Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Ma's wife, Ms. Ma Yingjie, at her home around the same time.

Ms. Sheng was transferred to the Suihua City Detention Center on September 13, 2017. It is believed that the other three practitioners are still being held in the police department's detention center.

6. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhou Jinba Arrested

Li Haijun, along with three other officers from the Guangming Police Station, arrested Mr. Zhou Jinba on the morning of September 16, 2017. He was returned home about one and a half hours later.

7. [Baicheng City, Jilin Province] Mr. Liu Meng Detained

Mr. Liu Meng, in his fifties, was arrested by officers from the Tielu Police Station, Da'an City, on January 9, 2017. He was held in the Baicheng City Detention Center before being transferred to the Da'an City Detention Center in April.

Mr. Liu has been detained for over eight months.

8. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Fushan District Police Department arrested Ms. Cui Deying, Ms. Xiao Shuxian, Ms. Zhao Shuyu, and Ms. Zhang Shuying on September 15, 2017. Their homes were ransacked.

Ms. Ma Yuzhen, from the Fushan District, was also arrested on the same day.

Ms. Wu Xiangting was arrested by officers from the Laishan Police Department.

9. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ji Yueying Detained

Ms. Ji Yueying, 70, was arrested at home by officers from the Fuxinlu Police Station, Shibei District, on the morning of September 14, 2017. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Ji was taken to the Haici Hospital for a physical examination the following morning. She was then returned to the police station, where her family went to demand her release. They were told that Ms. Ji had been taken to Pudong Town for detention.

10. [Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Liao Lihua, Ms. Wang Yuhua, and Ms. Guang Shujun were arrested by officers from the Zhongxing Town Police Station on September 7, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong.

Ms. Liao and Ms. Wang were released that afternoon. Ms. Guang was released later that evening.

11. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Six practitioners from Wulongbei Town were arrested by officers from the Jinshan Police Station on September 11, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong. They were held in Donggang City Detention Center and the Dandong City Detention Center.

Their families went to the detention centers to demand their release, but they were not allowed to meet with the practitioners.

The six practitioners included Ms. Liu Jingdong, Ms. Mu Guiying, Ms. Wu Fengjun, Ms. Cai Yuzhen, Mr. Yu Jingdong, and Mr. Zang Yongde.

12. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Chen Huan Sentenced to a Five-Year Prison Term

Mr. Chen Huan was sentenced to a five-year prison term.

13. [Foshan City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Lin Xiaorui Taken to Prison

Mr. Lin Xiaorui was taken to the Shaoguan Prison on August 28, 2017.

14. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Shan Qiuju Suffers Asthma Attack

Ms. Shan Qiuju was transferred from the Dalian Detention Center to the Shenyang Women's Prison in late August 2017. Her family was not notified.

Ms. Shan is being held in the No. 9 Ward of Shenyang Women's Prison, where she suffered an asthma attack.

15. [Xixia City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Rifa Arrested and Beaten

Mr. Li Rifa was arrested on September 15, 2017. He was also beaten by the police.

16. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. He Xuelan Arrested

Officers from the Pengzhou City Police Department's 610 Office, the Shengping Town Police Station, and seven or eight police assistants ransacked Ms. He Xuelan's home on September 8, 2017. They confiscated Falun Gong books, printed materials, and photos of the founder of Falun Gong.

Ms. He was taken to the Shengping Police Station, where she was interrogated, photographed, and fingerprinted. She was later released.

17. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Han Lixiang Arrested

Ms. Han Lixiang was arrested on September 12, 2017.

18. [Mianyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Deng Guixian Detained

Gao Daxue, along with five other officers from the Youxian District Police Department's 610 Office, broke into Ms. Deng Guixian's home and ransacked it on the afternoon of September 14, 2017. They confiscated Falun Gong books, a radio, DVDs, and some cash.

Ms. Deng was detained for 24 hours.
