Ms. Yan Yuzheng Unlawfully Detained When Visiting Her Neighbor

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yan Yuzhen was arrested by police when she visited another practitioner who lives in the same building. She was detained for 15 days.

Practitioner Mr. Li Qing, 70, who was partially paralyzed from a stroke, lives on the fourth floor of the building.

Officers from the Chengfeng District Police Department in Daqing City went to his apartment and took him to the police station on the afternoon of September 21, 2017. He was released on parole at around 1:00 a.m. the next morning, and agents were stationed at his home.

Ms. Yan lives on the sixth floor, and went to Mr. Li's apartment the next day. The police immediately arrested her and ransacked her home.

Ms. Yan asked the officers to show their identification. One did. His name was Deng Hui. Another refused at first, but eventually complied. He was identified as Shao Qingchun.

The police took Ms. Yan to the Chengfeng District Police Department. She was handed a detention warrant to sign, which wasn't signed by the police. She refused.

Ms. Yan was unlawfully detained for 15 days.
