(Minghui.org) I am a teacher in Beijing and have practiced Falun Gong for 21 years. I have been illegally detained, sentenced to forced labor and prison, as well as laid off by my school since the onset of the persecution.
Nothing has stopped me from practicing Falun Gong. My family and I filed a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin with the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme People's Court in June 2015, asking for an end to the persecution.
I went with my wife, Ms. Yixin (pseudonym), and her mother, on a Falun Dafa truth-clarification trip to Shanxi Province in the summer of 2015.
Ms. Yixin used to work for a major hospital in Beijing as a doctor, although her hometown is in Shanxi Province. The 610 Office detained her for practicing Falun Gong and caused her to lose her job.
Her father was afraid after witnessing his son, a teacher, being detained in a forced labor camp and fired from his job for practicing Falun Gong. His son also married a Falun Gong practitioner after he was released.
In fact, both of her parents became fearful after the onset of the persecution. However, when her mother went to take care of her grandson in Beijing, she also began to practice Falun Gong.
Ms. Yixin and her father were at first against her brother and mother practicing Falun Gong. Nevertheless, her mother kept encouraging her, so she started practicing Falun Gong a year ago.
After being detained by the 610 Office and losing her job, she wondered how to tell her father. She did not want her father to turn against Falun Gong, yet she was afraid to face him by herself.
My wife, also a practitioner, volunteered to help her talk to her father. I had met her father in Beijing. We had a good conversation, and he understood why we practiced Falun Gong.
We handed out copies of Minghui Weekly and Falun Gong DVDs on the way to Shanxi Province, at rest areas and gas stations. We told everyone we met to remember “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!”
Upon arriving at Yixin’s home, my wife and I took turns chatting with her father and sending forth righteous thoughts. Ms. Yixin and her mother also sent righteous thoughts.
We first talked about traditional culture, then moved on to the truth about Falun Gong, and finished with highlighting the communist regime's history.
He father was touched by our story and agreed to quit the Party. He said he would not oppose his wife's and son’s Falun Gong practice.
Before leaving for Shanxi, I contacted a friend who worked as a school principal and was planning to conduct in-service for her teachers. She arranged for my wife to give a half-day training session for her staff.
At the training session, two of the school principals welcomed us warmly and listened intently to our presentation.
My wife lectured about traditional Chinese culture, while Ms. Yixin worked as a reporter. The two principals withdrew from the Party during lunch.
My hometown was near Ms.Yixin's residence, and I visited there 13 years ago when I was on the police’s wanted list. Beijing police from the Domestic Security Division went to Shanxi to harass my relatives, but they did not succeed. My relatives warmly welcomed me back. It was no problem for me to use this as an opportunity to further explain Falun Gong to them.
On our way to my cousin’s home, we clarified the facts to a fruit seller, who also agreed to quit the Party.
My cousin listened to the facts about Falun Gong and quit the Party too. We then visited all my cousins and their spouses, and they and their families quit the Party. All in all, about 20 people learned the truth about Falun Gong and are no longer members of the Party.
We understood that our trip was successful because Beijing practitioners were sending righteous thoughts for us! This is a clear example of cooperation among practitioners!
