1. [Chongqing] Ms. Luo Kaibi Faces Trial

Ms. Luo Kaibi, 74, is facing a trial by the Bishan District Court on August 30, 2016.

2. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Ding Shumei and Ms. Huang Yuqing Arrested

Ms. Ding Shumei was arrested by officers from the Shushan District Police Department on July 28, 2016, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her laptop computers, printers, informational materials, and other personal items.

Ms. Huang Yuqing was also arrested by the Shushan District Police Department.

Mr. Li Maitun was arrested by local officers on August 2, 2016. He was transferred to Taierzhuang Detention Center. That evening, he was handcuffed with his arms behind his back by a deputy captain and an officer from the Yunhe Police Station. They beat his face, head, and chest. Then the police made Mr. Li sit on the back of a chair and tightened his arms. They used their feet to hold down Mr. Li's thighs. As a result, Mr. Li had difficulty standing up or squatting afterward. He was badly injured and mentally traumatized.

Mr. Zhang Jinlong, 52, was arrested in late May 2016, for distributing informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. His whereabouts are unknown.

5. [Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wen Qingchao Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Wen Qingchao, 60, was arrested at home on June 10, 2015. She is held at the Shaoguan Detention Center. She was sentenced to a four-year prison term and fined 5,000 yuan in July 2016.

6. [Changzhi City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Yue Xiuquan Detained

Mr. Yue Xiuquan, 70, was arrested at home by officers from the Changzhi City 610 Office and the Cheng District Police Department on June 27, 2016. The police confiscated printers, computers, informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, and other personal items. Mr. Yue is held at the Changzhi City Detention Center.

7. [Anyang City, Henan Province] Ms. Li Fuqin Detained

Ms. Li Fuqin, 61, was arrested by officers from the Wentai Police Department on August 11, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is held at Anyang City Detention Center.

Ms. Bai Yuyue, arrested on June 28, 2016, is still held at Yingkou City Detention Center.

9. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Fu Yanfei Imprisoned

The Changchun City Intermediate Court recently upheld the three-year prison sentence against Ms. Fu Yanfei. She was taken to Jilin Province Women's Prison on August 5, 2016.

Ms. Tian Zhenqin was arrested in late July 2016.

11. [Shizuishan City, Ningxia Autonomous Region] Ms. Mu Zhihong Arrested

Ms. Mu Zhihong, in her 70s, was arrested and taken to the Qingshanlu Police Station by plainclothes officers from the Domestic Security Division on July 22, 2016.

The police confiscated informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong. She is being held at the Ganzhou City Detention Center.
