(Minghui.org) Participants in the Western Canada Car Tour held a press conference in front of Calgary City Hall on August 22, 2016, focusing attention on the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) large-scale forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners in China.
They also called on Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to bring up the issue of forced-organ harvesting during his visit to China.
Two car tours, the western and eastern, will visit more than 200 Canadian towns, the goal being to raise public awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong in China by collecting signatures on petitions and calling for help to end the persecution.

Carrie Gilkson, spokesperson for the Western Canada Car Tour, said the most recent investigation report showed a large number of Falun Gong practitioners in China had died as a result of the large-scale forced organ harvesting, and that the CCP's violation of human rights challenges the bottom line of morality.
She called for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to speak up and help stop this unspeakable crime during his upcoming visit to China.
Media reporters at the press conference
Reporters from Global TV, CBC, CTV, and other mainstream media who attended the press conference were disturbed by what they learned about China’s state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting.
Residents of Calgary find out about the persecution.
Many local residents expressed their condemnation of the CCP's organ harvesting. Lyndsay, a social worker, was deeply saddened by the brutality. Susan, another passerby, signed the petition right away.
