(Minghui.org) A nine-day Falun Gong (also called Falun Dafa) workshop was held at the University of Chicago from July 22 to July 30, 2016. Attendees watched the recorded lectures of Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of the practice, and learned the Falun Gong exercises.
Anastasia Terletska, a student in Chicago, first heard about Falun Gong at Tianti Bookstore in New York a few weeks ago. The nine-day workshop gave her an opportunity to learn Falun Gong in Chicago.
Anastasia said, “I felt a huge improvement in my body during the workshop. I could clearly feel a warm energy flow. I felt grateful. The whole time was filled unforgettable happiness...I finally heard such profound principles, though they sound very easy to understand. It's truly beyond the world. Such profound principles are told in such simple language!”

When Anastasia did the Falun Gong exercises in a group in Chinatown, she said her whole body was embraced in a strong, warm energy flow during the standing stance.
After watching the lecture videos, she said, “I think Master Li's teachings are very deep. We need to continue studying to deepen our understanding.” After listening to the lectures for a few days, she felt it made her better and calmer.
Her husband also came to the nine-day workshop but missed some of the exercise instruction because of his work schedule. Mrs. Harrison said she would help correct his movements and added, “Dafa sounds pretty easy, but it needs a lot of practice.”
Bhagat, in his eighties, needed two train transfers and two bus transfers to go to the workshop. His sincere wish to listen to the lectures touched everyone.
On the third day of the workshop, he told a practitioner, “I believe in Dafa and Master!” He said he was very fortunate to be able to attend the workshop and believes that everyone received something wonderful from it. He also started telling his family about Dafa and said he would continue doing exercises every day.
