(Minghui.org) Mr. Wang Pengyi from Fushun City and Mr. Sun Yi from Dandong City were illegally sentenced and imprisoned at Dongling Prison in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province in April 2016. The two Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to brainwashing and torture in prison.

When prisoners arrive at Dongling Prison, they are first detained in the Reception Team. After a month, they are usually transferred to different prison sections. However, Mr. Wang and Mr. Sun remained detained in the Reception Team with special personnel assigned to monitor and try to force them to renounce their belief. Three prisoners were assigned to monitor Mr. Wang.

Mr. Sun Yi was brought to a room inside the prison education building. The room's walls and floors are lined with soundproofing material. Five prisoners were assigned to watch him every day. Four team leaders from the Reception Team – Sun Peng, Chen Fei, He Fei and Qi Lin – participated in trying to brainwash Mr. Sun. A prisoner named Liu Xiaolong was also called in to torture Mr. Sun. It was relatively quiet for the first two days. However, on the morning of May 15, Mr. Sun's continuous screams could be heard coming from the special room. The screams were so loud they could be heard outside, and went on until noon the next day.

Mr. Wang Pengyi was also sent to the same room for brainwashing and torture on the afternoon of May 16. He saw Mr. Sun Yi's terrible condition when he was taken away by guards. The guards and prisoners who tortured Mr. Sun also tortured Mr. Wang.

For the first two days, they were easy on him. Starting May 19, guards Sun Peng and Chen Fei started to try to brainwash Mr. Wang, attempting to persuade him to give up practicing Falun Gong. Mr. Wang refused and tried to tell them that they were committing crimes by torturing him. They verbally abused Mr. Wang and Falun Gong, and subjected him to sleep deprivation. Guard Sun Peng used his shoes to beat Mr. Wang's face and head for an entire afternoon. His face became distorted and his head was swollen. He was disoriented and his vision became blurry. Mr. Wang was tortured again on May 22, from 8:30 p.m. until 3:00 a.m. the next morning. Finally he was transferred to the Fifth Prison Section on June 6.

Many other Falun Gong practitioners have also suffered similar, and worse, torture at Dongling Prison.
