(Minghui.org) After studying Teacher’s most recent lecture, “Fa Teaching Given at the 2016 New York Fa Conference,” I had some thoughts that I would like to share with my fellow practitioners.
After cultivating for years, many Falun Gong practitioners have experienced or witnessed many miracles. I do not mean the miraculous healing effect. Each and every true cultivator will experience the process of body purification, some more obviously than others. Some went from having cancer to being illness-free. Others had insidious illnesses that had never progressed very far.
I want to discuss the amazing abilities cultivators have developed, such as farmers who knew nothing about technology learning to operate a computer skillfully, and elderly practitioners who never went to school but can now read Falun Gong books and learn Chinese characters. How did they do it?
Master told us:
“Everyone seated here today, regardless of whether you are a new or veteran student, when it comes to cultivation all of you are treated the same.” (Teaching the Fa in San Francisco, 2005)
In the past, I thought that the differences in cultivators' predestined relationships and purity of heart determined how much they were strengthened by the divine.
But after I studied Master's “Fa Teaching Given at the 2016 New York Fa Conference” over and over, I enlightened to anther factor: It has everything to do with a cultivator's understanding of his or her cultivation, why and how to fulfill one's duties, and one's determination, dedication, and devotion.
Master told us in the new lecture:
“If your area has just one person, Gods will help you accomplish it. If you have other people in your area who do not lift a finger, then Gods will absolutely not allow it, so you must go and ask others to all get involved.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2016 New York Fa Conference”)
My understanding is that, if there is a cultivator in the area that has the time and opportunity but does not get involved in a Dafa project, gods will not facilitate them. Relying on divine intervention without the group effort isn’t going to work.
But if every one of us is truly devoted fully to the project, it would be a different story. When we focus on validating the Fa and saving sentient beings with no selfish intent, we will get a helping hand from above.
If we just complain that others are not cooperating or that the environment is unrighteous, we are still failing to work on ourselves, and we are just counting on help from the outside world. What kind of result can we expect? No wonder we don’t see miracles happen to us in these situations.
I’ve noticed that some practitioners are very conscientious and meticulous and try their best to do whatever needs to be done, big or small. Others only want to do things that are not very challenging, that can be done quickly, or that are convenient to do. I believe it is the effort of the cultivator that determines the outcome and whether or not there is divine intervention.
Master taught us this as well:
“In the process of doing things, what’s looked at is your hearts, not your success itself.” (“Fa Teaching at the 2016 New York Fa Conference”)
