(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 41 were illegally arrested.
Mr. Liu Weidong was arrested on the morning of June 26, 2016 by officers from Xizhanlu Police Station, when he was telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong in the Ershilibao Area.
Mr. Xu Yuemin from the Guojiatuo area, Jiangbei District was taken away by force on June 24, 2016, by Chen Mingwei and agents from the Feilanya Community. He was incarcerated at Geleshan Brainwashing Center.

Ms. Liu Xuixian was arrested on the morning of June 26, 2016 by officers from the Qinghe Police Station in Fancheng District, when she was distributing Falun Gong materials. She is incarcerated at the Fancheng District Administrative Detention Center.
Mr. Ren Dongchuan was arrested recently by agents from the local 610 Office. He is incarcerated at a brainwashing center.
Ms. Yu Huixia was arrested on the morning of June 21, 2016 by officers from the Beimenwai Police Station and the Tianqiaoxi Police Station, when she was telling people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Police confiscated her picture of Falun Gong's teacher, along with Falun Gong related books and materials. She is incarcerated at the Langfang City Detention Center.
Mr. Gao Chong and Mr. Hu Junyou were arrested in 2015 by officers from the Wengqi Domestic Security Division. They were sentenced secretly to a three-year prison term in June 2016, by the Cifeng City Middle Court.
Mr. Wang Xirong was arrested on the afternoon of June 23, 2016 by officers from the Shuangqiao District Domestic Security Division. the police confiscated his Falun Gong books and a picture of Falun Gong's teacher.
Mr. Chen Wenchang was arrested on June 21, 2016 by officers from the Ganguantun Township Police Station. He was subjected to criminal detention at the Guan County Detention Center.

Mr. Zhang Jinhai, 51, was arrested on January 22, 2015 by officers from the Leling City Domestic and Security Division. He was tried twice, on December 24, 2015 and May 18, 2016. He was sentenced to a three-year-and-six-month prison term by the Leling City Court on June 24, 2016.

Ms. Wen Ling was sentenced to a three and a half year prison term by the Beihu District Court. Ms. Li Jumei of Jiahe County was sentenced to seven years by the Jiahe County Court. They are incarcerated at the Chenzhou City No. 1 Detention Center.

Fourteen practitioners were sentenced to prison for practicing Falun Gong. The terms are as follows:

Cui Yong's and Tang Jialing's exact sentences remain to be investigated. The other two practitioners' names and sentences are unclear.
Ms. Yu Shuxian was arrested on June 11 after being reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong. She wasn't released until she paid 1,000 yuan.
This was not Ms. Yu's first arrest. She had been twice sentenced to prison in the past for refusing to renounce Falun Gong.
The guards shocked her with electric batons during her three-year term in Liaoning Province Women's Prison between 2008 and 2011.
She was arrested again on April 15, 2012, and sentenced to four years. Her son came from abroad to see her, only to be turned away. Her elderly father's health quickly declined following her second imprisonment, and he died in late 2014.
Zhang Zhigang, chief of the Hongsheng Police Station, was responsible for Ms. Yu's latest arrest.
A married couple had their second court appearance on June 14. Both were tried for refusing to renounce Falun Gong. The judge adjourned the hearing without issuing a verdict.
Ms. Zhang Chunyan and Mr. Zhou Shengyong were arrested on December 8, 2014, and released on bail a few days later. They appeared in court for the first time on April 7 this year, and their two lawyers defended their constitutional rights to freedom of belief.
It is unclear if the couple is still on bail or have been taken into custody after the second court date.
Four locals were recently indicted for practicing and spreading information about Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime.
Mr. Peng Yaxin, Mr. Xhang Guangjie, Ms. He Shifeng, and Ms. Fu Chuanying were traveling in a car on March 13, 2016 when they were pulled over and arrested.
The two women were later released on bail, and the two men were sent to the local detention center.
Both Mr. Peng and Mr. Zhang were fined 1,000 yuan.
On June 17, Shayang County Court informed the four practitioners that they had been indicted.
Ms. Chen Chen was tried on June 17 for refusing to renounce her faith in Falun Gong. Several officers guarded the courthouse, harassing and driving away those who came to support Ms. Chen.
Two local Falun Gong practitioners were arrested after the trial. Mr. Ma Zhiwu refused to get into the police van and was brutally beaten. Though he was later released, another practitioner, Ms. Li Jinhua, remains at the Shizuishan City First Detention Center at the time of this writing.
It is unclear when Ms. Chen’s verdict will be issued. She remains detained following her arrest on December 22, 2015.
Ten Qinglong County residents were arrested in a neighboring county on June 16, for distributing information that exposed the persecution of Falun Gong. The two cars they were traveling in were impounded.
The police broke into Ms. Chen Lixin's home the following afternoon and confiscated her personal belongings. They next went to search her family-owned shop, and videotaped the whole process. Ms. Chen's lawyer is now working to get her valuables returned.
Ms. Dong Yueshu's home was also raided around the same time.
Shao Wenhui and Wen Guixia were released after they failed medical examinations required for further detention.
The rest of the practitioners remain detained. Xie Fang is at the Kuancheng Detention Center and the other seven women are at the Chengde City Detention Center.
Huanan County Court held a second hearing in the trial of Mr. Yang Yuntao, who was charged with suing former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin.
The hearing on June 21 was attended by Mr. Yang's family and fellow villagers. More than two dozen officers also showed up to see how Mr. Yang's two Beijing lawyers would defend him.
The lawyers repeated what they said during the first hearing on April 18. As there is no law that criminalizes Falun Gong, the persecution of the practice was illegal from the start. As such, Mr. Yang should never have been prosecuted for exercising his rights to seek justice against Jiang for initiating the persecution.
The second hearing concluded in about thirty minutes with no verdict issued.
Dongchang District Court sentenced Ms. Zhang Suhua to a seven-year prison term, and Ms. Zhu Yaxian to five years on June 8, 2016.
Ms. Zhang, 75, and Ms. Zhu, in her sixties, were arrested by Tonghua police on September 2, 2014. They were tried on April 19, 2016. Their lawyers were not notified and their family members received the notification less than three hours before the trial. The trial lasted only about ten minutes for Ms. Zhang and about twenty minutes for Ms. Zhu.
Ms. Weng Ping was arrested on June 2, 2015, and has been held in the Changning District Detention Center for over one year. Her lawyer met her recently and found that her blood pressure was higher than 200 mmHg during the few months that she was detained, and she could be in a critical condition at any time.
The Changning court postponed the trial for four months on January 27, 2016, and again, for another four months, on May 30, 2016.
