(Minghui.org) Mr. Chen and other Falun Gong practitioners in Thailand continue to tell Chinese tourists about the persecution in China and advise them to quit the Chinese Communist Party. They clarify the facts for as long as six hours every day, rain or shine. Tourists often stop at their display boards to read information that they cannot see in China.
Each day, Mr. Chen talks to more than 200 Chinese tourists and helps as many as 80 quit the Party. I would like to share some inspiring stories from the practitioners' efforts.
Mr. Chen is a familiar figure among the tour guides. Some of them shout “Falun Dafa is good” when they see him and tell their clients that Mr. Chen can help people quit the Chinese Communist Party.
Some tour guides have been misled by the Chinese regime's hate propaganda and harbor prejudice against Falun Gong. But Mr. Chen never gives up on them. Slowly, their attitudes have changed.
For example, a middle-aged guide would always shout “The Communist Party is good!” as he got off the bus. He stubbornly refused to take any Falun Gong fliers. However, Mr. Chen would always offer him informational materials whenever he had a chance. Because of his persistence and sincerity, the guide finally accepted the fliers. He later agreed to quit the Communist Youth League.
Mr. Chen sometimes encountered high-ranking CCP loyalists, and he has patiently persuaded them to quit the Party.
One day, Mr. Chen met a man who refused any notion of “quitting the CCP” and insisted that he was a dedicated Party member. Mr. Chen pointed to Zhou Yongkang and Bo Xilai as examples of “true Party members” who amassed millions of yuan by graft and bribery. He also pointed out that true Party members make citizens serve them instead of the other way around, and they persecute Falun Gong practitioners.
Mr. Chen continued, “You are a good person. You serve the people. The CCP regime has killed more than 80 million Chinese people. Aren't you doing bad things when you help the CCP persecute practitioners? Instead, you should work hard for your parents, wife, and children. Only by separating yourself from the Party can you be safe. You won't be dedicated to the CCP once you understand the facts.” The man nodded while Mr. Chen was talking. He eventually agreed to quit the Party.
In early 2016, Mr. Chen tried to give a flier to a tourist in his 30s. The man retorted, “Do you know what I do? How do you dare to give me that stuff? I work at the Domestic Security Division. I'm in charge of Falun Gong matters.”
Mr. Chen felt that it would be even more meaningful to tell the facts to this person. He told him what Falun Gong is and how people practice it in more than 100 countries.
Mr. Chen continued, “Falun Gong practitioners are good people. They don't break any laws. Anyone who persecutes practitioners will incur karmic retribution sooner or later. The CCP harvests organs from living practitioners for profit. They are committing unprecedented evil, and heaven won't tolerate it. You shouldn't become its scapegoat. You should quit the CCP.”
This Domestic Security captain eventually became friendly, agreed to quit the Party, and told Mr. Chen that he will not persecute practitioners anymore.
Most Chinese tourists travel in groups. Some are from same workplace. Some are family members, and some are friends.
Once the leader of a group agrees to withdraw from the CCP, others often follow suit. Some tourists who have already quit the CCP encourage others to quit or identify Party members for the practitioners. For instance, one woman not only quit the Party after learning about its crimes, but she also helped Mr. Chen persuade six people from the same group to do the same.
Some tourists who had already quit the Party shouted “Falun Dafa is good!” when they saw Mr. Chen. Some praised the practitioners, saying “What you are doing gives us new hope for China!”
Touched by the practitioners telling them the facts in the scorching sun, some tourists, who might have verbally abused the practitioners earlier, even brought them cold drinks and said, “You're so steadfast in your belief. I understand you. I support you.”
