(Minghui.org) My husband was a veteran member of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He was thoroughly indoctrinated and brainwashed and thus believed the lies the CCP told about Falun Gong. Every time when I mentioned Falun Gong, or encouraged him to quit the CCP, he became upset and would not listen. I had to move out, but could not take our son with me.
My husband began to suffer from cold sores in March 2015. The pain was hard to endure, and no doctor could provide relief.
He contemplated suicide because of the pain and purchased poison that he hid in the house. Our son found the poison and begged him to seek help. My husband told him that he already spent over 10,000 yuan, yet could not find relief from the excruciating pain. My son promised that he would help find a better hospital and pay the bill.
My son and daughter took their dad to the Xinxiang Central Hospital. They called me, and I rushed right over. While waiting for a doctor my husband said the pain was getting worse.
I told everyone to recite “Falun Dafa is great; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is great.” All three recited the two sentences in unison. After 10 minutes, my husband told us that he was no longer in pain.
A doctor diagnosed him with cold sores and prescribed medicine. Before he went home, I convinced him to quit the CCP and gave him a Falun Gong amulet. I also asked him to recite the two sentences that I told him and he nodded his head. I called and my son said that his dad was doing well and the pain did not return.
Just five days later, my husband asked me through my son to move back home. Our son reminded him that we did not get along. My husband said to tell me that he will never argue with me again.
In the past whenever I came home he did not greet me. However, this time when I stepped through the door he put his hands together in prayer pose and said that his master had come home.
“Please do not call me master,” I said. “It was Master Li – the Teacher of Falun Gong who saved you.”
I asked him if he would continue to recite the two sentences.
Yes, I will continue to recite the two sentences,” he said. “My life has been spared and I am very grateful for that.”
On the Chinese New Year Day, I was showing respect for Master in front of his portrait and asked my husband if he had anything to say.
“Master, my health is very good now,” he said. “Forgive me, I am a simple-minded person and does not know how to express myself well. I thank you for saving my life.”
