(Minghui.org) Ms. Wang Sanxiu is a geological engineer with the Nanjing Institute of Geology and Mineral Resources. She was taken to a brainwashing center in March 2016 for publishing details on how she was persecuted and for filing a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese communist regime, for persecuting Falun Gong. Her immediate family and her son's family were harassed by the police. The family of her daughter-in-law was harmed, too.
Police officer Huang Shuicheng from the Qinhuai District Domestic Security Division repeatedly threatened to harass her if she reported to the Minghui website what she endured in the brainwashing center.
Ms. Wang was arrested by officers from the Hangzhou City East Railway Police Station on March 10, 2016, as she was changing trains in Hangzhou City. She was visiting her 80-year-old ailing mother in Hunan Province. Huang from the Qinhuai District Domestic Security Division and three officers took her back to Nanjing City the same night and transferred her to the Qinhuai District Brainwashing Center.
Huang and other officers broke into her home the next day. They ransacked her home, but they did not find anything to use as evidence against her.
Two weeks later, in order to find evidence, Huang and other officers ransacked her son's home. They confiscated his personal computer.
Ms. Wang's daughter-in-law was at her mother's home in Nantong City with her 3-month-old twins. A neighbor called her and told her about the ransacking. The daughter-in-law was shocked, and her whole family was upset. The neighbor asked if anything had happened to her husband. This ransacking caused great tension between the two families and damaged Ms. Wang's relationship with her daughter-in-law and her mother.
Ms. Wang was illegally detained in the Qinhuai District Brainwashing Center, which is located in Tianhu Hotel, for more than 50 days. She was monitored around the clock. She was not allowed to leave the room. She was not told why she was detained or the legal basis for the detention.
Ms. Wang's requests to see her son and to call her mother were turned down. Her husband was allowed to visit but the visit was monitored. The diary she kept inside was confiscated.
In April, her husband and son were called to the brainwashing center. The director of the 610 Office interrogated and threatened them, saying that Ms. Wang had mailed Falun Gong literature to her relatives in Hunan Province in 2014 and that Hunan Province police took such things very seriously. This worried her husband and son.
One day Wu Yong, from the 610 Office, saw Ms. Wang sitting cross-legged in the room and thought she was mediating. He shouted, “I will kill you if you do that again!”
Officers Huang and Pan Jun walked into Ms. Wang's room at the brainwashing center in the morning on May 2. Huang asked, “There was an article published on the Minghui website about a leader in our city persecuting Falun Gong. Did you do that?” Ms. Wang said she did and asked, “Is that why you are holding me?” Huang said it was, but also because Ms. Wang sued Jiang Zemin.
Huang repeatedly told Ms. Wang that she could not report the details of her detention to the Minghui website. He said, “I will not leave you alone if I find it online.”
Ms. Wang was taken to a labor camp three times and to a brainwashing center three times for refusing to give up practicing Falun Gong and for exposing the persecution of Falun Gong. She has been arrested and detained multiple times. She has been monitored constantly. The police ordered her to monitor other Falun Gong practitioners, but she refused.
Ms. Wang's family has suffered a great deal both mentally and financially for more than 10 years.
Her husband used to be in charge of over 1,000 employees. Within four years, he made an unprofitable branch office into a profitable one. But his title, “director of project management, East China area,” was taken away due to pressure from the 610 Office because his wife practices Falun Gong.
When Ms. Wang was detained in brainwashing sessions in 2010, her son was in his last year of senior high school. He was discriminated against because of his mother. The police also went to the school and took him for questioning, which had a very bad impact on the teenager.
