(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 44 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Bi Jinli Arrested

Ms. Bi Jinli, 55, from the Zhongshan District, was arrested at home by officers from the Renminlu Police Station in the Zhongshan District on March 15, 2016.

2. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Song Fengzhen and Her Husband Arrested

Ms. Song Fengzhen, from the Songshu Town Coal Mine, Jiangyuan District, was arrested at home by officers from the Songshu Town Police Station on the morning of December 30, 2015, for telling people about Falun Gong. The officers confiscated DVDs, printed materials, and a computer. Ms. Song's husband was later arrested for suing Jiang Zemin. The officers extorted 3,000 yuan from Ms. Song's husband and then released the couple.

3. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Li Haiying Arrested

Ms. Li Haiying, in her seventies, was arrested outside her home on the morning of March 1, 2016, by officers from tihe Balingqiao Police Station, who were waiting for her.

4. [Chongqing] Mr. Pu Changzhi Arrested

Mr. Pu Changzhi from Yubei District was arrested by officers from the Yubei District 610 Office in early March 2016. It is not known where he is being detained.

5. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Tu Junjun Detained

Mr. Tu Junjun, 32, from Zhangjiagang City was arrested on May 29, 2015. He is being held in the Zhangjiagang City Detention Center.

6. [Tibet] Mr. Chen Dadao and His Wife Arrested

Mr. Chen Dadao and his wife were arrested on November 8, 2015.

7. [Xingtai City, Hebei Province] Mr. Lu Gang and Mr. Cai Yun Detained

Mr. Lu Gang and about 12 practitioners from Guangzong County went to Dongliji Village in Guangzong County to display Falun Gong informational message boards on the morning of March 9, 2016. Mr. Lu Gang and Mr. Cai Yun were arrested by officers from the Hetaoyuan Police Station. They are held in the Guangzong County Detention Center.

8. [Jieyang City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Wu Changqing's Family Detained

Mr. Wu Changqing and his family of three from Huilai County were monitored because they talked to people about Falun Gong. They were arrested at home on March 2, 2016 and taken to a detention center.

9. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Pan Chenhong Detained

Ms. Pan Chenhong was arrested by officers from the Qingdao Road Police Station on the morning of March 11, 2016. The officers confiscated Falun Gong books. She was taken to the Laixi City Detention Center.

10. [Shanghai] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. He Meiyun, Ms. Zhu Lihua, and female practitioner Feifei, from Minhang District, were arrested by plainclothes officers when they were talking to people about Falun Gong on March 15, 2016. Their whereabouts are unknown.

11. [Dunhua City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wu Yujing Arrested

Ms. Wu Yujing, in her seventies, was arrested at home on March 14, 2016.

12. [Meishan City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Hu Yugen Facing Trial

Mr. Hu Yugen is facing trial.

13. [Ankang City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Chen Jun Facing Trial

Mr. Chen Jun was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division on July 28, 2015 for telling people about Falun Gong on the phone. His trial date at the Hanbin District Court was March 17, 2016.

14. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Xu Changlan, Mr. Cui Jian, and Mr. Han were reported to the police when they were talking to people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of March 10, 2016. They were arrested by officers from the Zhanbei Police Station, and taken to that police station. All three practitioners have now returned home.

15. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Arrests of Twenty Practitioners Approved

Twenty practitioners from Jianping County were arrested on November 9, 2015. Their arrests were approved and their cases submitted to the Jianping Court in February 2016.

Thirteen practitioners have been held for more than four months, including Mr. Fang Yongjun, Ms. Chen Suying, Mr. Sha Jintang, Mr. Wang Zhiguo, Ms. Lin Jiangmei, Ms. Zhang Shuzhi, Ms. Chi Yuhua, Ms. Yin Xiuzhi, Mr. Feng Dianguo, Ms. Lu Shuhua, Mr. Xie Jianping, Mr. Zhang Haifeng and Ms. Bao Liying.

The practitioners are being held in detention centers in Jianping County, Chaoyang City, Huludao City, and Panjin City.

Seven practitioners were bailed out for trial, including Su Yanzhi, Li Yanjie, Wang Shuyou, Li Guiping, An Ping, Guo Hao, and Zhai Baoji.

16. [Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province] Two Practitioners Detained

Ms. Gan Xuemei and Ms. Zhang Lixu were arrested by officers from the Xiang'e Township Police Station on March 2, 2016. After they were placed under “administrative detention” for more than ten days, their families received detention notices on March 12. The two practitioners have been transferred to the Pi County Detention Center.

17. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Five Practitioners Still Detained

Ms. Sun Fengxia, Ms. Han Yangjun, Ms. Wang Yanbo, Ms. Liu Lina, and Zhang Yawen were arrested on February 17, 2016. They are still being held. Their families are not allowed to visit them.
