(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Tang Zhongzhen, Ms. Li Yanjia and Ms. Gao Hui from Baodi District, Tianjin, were arrested for putting up two posters in Mid-February 2016. The posters displayed information about people filing lawsuits against Jiang Zemin, the former Chinese dictator, who launched the the persecution of Falun Gong.
While putting up the posters, the three practitioners were caught on a surveillance video. After police officers identified them, a dozen officers broke into their homes on the early morning of March 1, 2016 and arrested them.
At the police station, officers took pictures and videos of the practitioners.
Ms. Tang's arrest has been officially approved by the Chinese prosecutorate authorities, making it likely that she will be indicted.
When arrested, Ms. Tang was in her undergarments, and was not allowed to dress before being taken to the Baoping Police Station.
Police ransacked Ms. Tang's home and confiscated some of her belongings, including a computer, a mobile phone, and an electric car. Her family has hired a lawyer.
Several policemen seized Ms. Li Yanjiao by her hair and shoved her around. They handcuffed her arms behind her back, threw her to the ground, and took turns hitting her in the face.
Ms. Li was released after 15 days of detention.
Ms. Gao Hui were released after 15 days of detention. She returned to the police station and demanded that they give back her mobile phone. Police not only refused her request, but also threatened her with further persecution.
