(Minghui.org) I'm a Falun Gong practitioner from a village. Once, as I rode my bicycle down a hill, I fell and was serious injured. I fractured the left side of my face in two places. Without treatment, I recovered in 10 days.
I live in a village in Chanzhuan Town, Zhaoyuan City. I had high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, and had been disabled for four years because of a displaced lumbar disc. All my ailments were gone after I started to practice Falun Gong on July 21, 2007.
On the morning of March 18, 2011, I was out riding my bicycle. As I went down hill on the east of the village, I fell and lost consciousness.
I was sent to the hospital in town, but I was injured so badly that the town hospital sent me to the hospital in the city. A CT scan showed that the left side of my face had been shattered, and one of my ribs was broken as well. I was told that I needed surgery right away.
I lost consciousness but awoke as the nurse was preparing me for surgery. When I heard that I would have surgery, I said, “No surgery. I am fine. I want to go back home.”
Actually I couldn't talk clearly at that time, but the doctor understood enough. He was quite irritated. “How can you go back home when you were injured so badly?!” But I insisted. “Well, if you refuse surgery, sign a release and we won't take any responsibility if something goes wrong later.”
I went back home. I couldn't eat or drink. At night one of my sisters came and fed me a cup of milk.
The next morning at nine o'clock I awoke and thought that I should get up. I couldn't just lie around like a sick person. I got up and changed clothes. My jacket was stained with a lot of blood. I showered and made breakfast.
At breakfast I could eat and talk as normal.
At that time another sister called and urged me. “You must accept surgery. Your niece (a doctor) saw your CT scans and said, if you didn't do surgery, you won't be able to open your mouth, let alone eat.” She told me it would be a complicated surgery and might cost more than 10,000 yuan.
“I'm fine,” I said. “I just had breakfast. Can't you tell I'm talking fine now?”
“Yes. It does sound as though you are fine.”
About ten days after I was injured, scabs fell off my face. Almost no scars were visible on my face except for a small one under the left side of my nose. The new skin was slightly light in color.
A few days later, my face had totally recovered with no scar at all, although there were some scars on my wrist, shoulder and knees. I never felt any pain for my broken rib.
