Falun Gong Practitioners Leave No One Behind

February 16, 2016 |   By a Falun Gong practitioner in China

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners try to save every person, including those who have participated in the persecution.

My family filed a criminal complaint against former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin, but we did not sue his followers because they are victims, too. We sincerely want to provide them with opportunities to make up for their past mistakes, and we hope that they will have a bright future. We believe that, at the very least, we need to save them from the CCP's poisonous lies.

My Understanding

Falun Gong practitioner's mission is to save sentient beings. In "Fa Teaching Given at the 2015 New York Fa Conference," Master Li said,

“But whatever the case, we should try to save whoever we can, including these people.”

and

“People such as those whom we see with bad attitudes toward Dafa or who are vicious toward Dafa disciples are actually pitiable. They have been poisoned by the CCP’s lies, in fact, and that is what causes them to act as they do.”

This enlightened me that a practitioner has to completely let go of his or her resentment against those who are poisoned by the lies and have participated in the persecution. They are also victims of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regime. If we, Falun Gong practitioners, give up on them and do not try to save them, who will?

My Attitude Changes

Our colleagues regarded my wife and me as honest people, but we suddenly became hated targets after the persecution began and were closely watched. In April 2000, our employer cooperated with the 610 Office and planned to send my wife to a brainwashing center.

I asked for help from a leader at the 610 Office who used to be our long-time neighbor, telling him that we had to take care of my mother in Shenyang. He ignored my plea and arrested my wife at work the following day. For quite some time after this, I felt resentful every time I saw him. I did not talk to him for years.

Then he was killed in a traffic accident four years ago. I felt sad and started to wonder if I could have saved him if I had made more of an effort.

Through regular Fa study, I finally realized that resentment is rooted in selfishness. Only by abandoning my ego and thinking of saving sentient beings will I be able to emerge from the shadow of persecution. I thus have changed my attitude toward the persecutors.

A Persecutor Regrets Her Mistake

One person at work was one of the worst persecutors. She led the agents to arrest my wife when they took her to the brainwashing center. She also persecuted other practitioners. I considered her an accomplice and did not talk to her at work. But I changed after listening to Master's Fa teaching.

I felt that I was not compassionate enough to her. I wanted to save every person and did not want to miss one because of my resentment. I started to talk to her like an old friend.

I visited her family at the New Year holiday five years ago. She and her husband were surprised by my visit and treated me kindly. Since then, we have greeted and joked with each other, just like we did before the persecution began.

Fellow practitioners and I took this opportunity to clarify the facts about Falun Gong to her. She not only quit the CCP, but also expressed her regret for participating in the persecution.

A Resentful Former Subordinate

A former subordinate at work had a good relationship with me before the persecution began. When the persecution started, he attacked me in order to get my old job. He wrote articles in the newspaper to slander Dafa. Indeed, he got my position when I was fired, but I did not resent him.

Later, he moved to the south after his young wife died. I was still worried about him despite the fact that he had profited at my expense. When he came back to see his daughter a few years ago, I invited him to dinner. At the table, I sincerely told him the facts about Falun Gong and advised him to renounce the CCP. He was moved by my actions and agreed to quit the CCP.
