December 21, 2016 |   By a Minghui correspondent in Hebei Province, China

(Minghui.org) Ms. Feng Sulan's case was recently submitted to the Funing District Procuratorate in Qinhuangdao City. Ms. Feng, 66, was arrested on July 14, 2016, when she went to a police station to ask for the release of a Falun Gong practitioner.

Ms. Feng, who also practices Falun Gong, has been held at the Qinhuangdao City No. 1 Detention Center since July 23. Her arrest was approved on August 5.

The Arrest

Ms. Feng Sulan and three other women accompanied the daughter of Ms. Chang Meijie on July 14, 2016, to ask for the release of Ms. Chang. Ms. Chang was arrested on July 10, 2016, for talking to people about Falun Gong at a farmers market.

They went to the detention center first. The detention center refused to receive them, and would not allow them to see Ms. Chang.

When they went to the Liushouying Police Station the police arrested them and took them to the Funing District Detention Center that night.

Officers from the Funing District Domestic Security Division and the Liushouying Police Station went to Ms. Feng's home the next day. They ransacked the place and confiscated Falun Gong books, informational DVDs, and other personal belongings. They accused her of “using a cult organization to undermine law enforcement,” a common charge used by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to prosecute Falun Gong practitioners in its persecution of the spiritual practice.

Ms. Feng was taken to the Qinhuangdao City No. 1 Detention Center on July 23. The other four people were released on July 24.

Arrested and Detained Multiple Times

In 2001, Ms. Feng Sulan was forcibly carried to the Funing County Detention Center. Two days later, she was transferred to the county's detention center. She was handcuffed behind her back after starting a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention. Later, she was handcuffed and shackled to a bed for two days.

Officers from the Funing County Domestic Security Division broke into Ms. Feng's home on March 23, 2006. Ms. Feng was not at home. The police ransacked the place and confiscated Falun Gong informational materials and other personal belongings.

Ms. Feng was arrested on May 4, 2006, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was released that night. However, 20 days later, the police arrested her again and took her to the Funing County Detention Center. She was transferred to the Funing County Brainwashing Center after being detained for 15 days.

She was arrested on June 19, 2007, for talking to others about the persecution of Falun Gong in a farmers market. She was detained for 15 days and beaten by police officer Wang Lichun while in detention. She was forcibly taken to the Funing County Brainwashing Center after her detention.

On two occasions in June 2008 police officers went to Ms. Feng's home and tried to take her to a brainwashing center. She and her husband resisted and escaped.

The police came and broke into their house two weeks later. Seeing that no one was at home, they grabbed the picture of Falun Gong's teacher from the wall, and broke it.
