(Minghui.org) I am 66 years old. I started practicing Falun Dafa in 1996 and have stayed on the path of cultivation ever since, thanks to great compassionate Master's protection.

Dafa has changed me over the past 20 years. It endowed me with wisdom and benefited me both mentally and physically. Although I never went to school and was illiterate, I am now able to read Zhuan Falun and Master's other Dafa books, new articles, Minghui Weekly, and Dafa informational materials. I follow what Master says and do the three things well.

My mother passed away when I was only two years old, and my father sent me to live with his elder brother. When I got to be about 8, my uncle started ordering me to take care of his lambs and do housework. I had no chance to go to school. I had no contact with books or writing before I practiced Falun Dafa.

In the spring of 1996, my older brother gave me a book, Zhuan Falun. He told me how precious the book was and that it taught people to be good. He also told me that, if I followed the Dafa principles, I would be healthy both mentally and physically.

I was very happy to hear that, but I was sad when I opened the book because I simply couldn't read. “Brother, you know I am illiterate. How could I learn it?”

He read the book to me. As he was reading the first three lectures, I was half awake and my eyes were closed. When he started to read lecture four, I was awake and sat up. My mind became very clear, and the pain in my heart from all the hardship that I'd experienced began fading away. I experienced the most joyful feeling of my life. I told my brother, “I am going to take up the practice of Dafa.”

I couldn't wait and found the nearest practice site. Other practitioners taught me the exercises. They read it out loud to me when we studied the Fa together.

Several days later, I started to follow the characters in the book while they read. I couldn't keep up with them at first. When they turned the page, I did the same. I looked at every character with my whole heart. Even though I didn't know how to read, it seemed that every character imprinted itself in my brain. With time, I was able to recognize some simple characters.

Eventually, I was able to keep up as they read. I was able to follow wherever they were reading at. It was so weird. I could recognize the characters! My brain and memory became better than ever. It seemed that I could remember all the characters that I had seen. It was miraculous and amazing! My family was also amazed!

I studied the Fa not only at the practice site, but also at home. I read the book very diligently. My family supported me and taught me many characters.

After Jiang’s regime began to persecute Falun Dafa on July 20, 1999, our practice site was destroyed and we lost the precious cultivation environment. Several of us practitioners set up a Fa study group. We took turns reading the Fa instead of reading together, so that the neighbors wouldn’t hear us. When it was my turn, I read very slowly. If I didn't know a character, the others would teach it to me. They were very helpful.

My family also helped me a lot and taught me how to look characters up the dictionary. So when I studied the Fa at home and came across new characters, I could ask them for help or just look in the dictionary on my own.

Now I am able to read Zhuan Falun and other Dafa books on my own.

I often said to Master in my heart, “Master, you put too much effort into such a disciple like me. I can only to follow your words, do the three things well, and repay your infinite grace. Thank you, Master!”

For years, I’ve read Zhuan Falun in the morning, gone out to tell people the facts about Falun Dafa in the afternoon, and studied Master's other teachings in the evening. I also recite Master's poems in Hong Yin. I get up at three in the morning to do the exercises. Although I only sleep a few hours each day, it doesn't affect the quality of my Fa study and telling people the facts in the day time.

I am profoundly aware that if I study the Fa well, it is easy to successfully persuade people to quit the CCP and save them.

For over ten years, I have not slacked off on telling people the facts about Dafa and the persecution. Sometimes I don't have time to eat, but I am never hungry or tired.

Master will give us wisdom and help us, as long as we keep pure compassion in our hearts.

Although I am busy everyday, my heart is at ease, because I have Master. I just follow Master's words and save people with my heart.

As Master has said:
