Two Practitioners Arrested and One Imprisoned for Internet Activities

(Minghui.org) Mr. Gao Jiajian and Mr. Long Jianping in Wanyuan City were arrested in October and November 2016 for visiting overseas websites about Falun Gong.

Mr. Hu Yong, another Wanyuan City Falun Gong practitioner, was initially sentenced to one year of probation in April 2015, then imprisoned in October 2016 for sending Falun Gong information via cellphone and computer.

Mr. Gao Jiajian and Mr. Long Jianping Arrested for Visiting Falun Gong Websites

Officers from the Wanyuan City Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Gao Jiajian on October 12, 2016, and Mr. Long Jianping on November 10, 2016.

They claimed that both practitioners had visited overseas Falun Gong websites as detected by the Sichuan Province Internet Police GPS system.

The police ransacked their homes and confiscated computers, Falun Gong books, and other personal belongings.

Both practitioners were interrogated; Mr. Gao's family was also interrogated.

Mr. Long was released later that night. The police said they would notify him of any further action after they finished the investigation.

Mr. Hu Yong Imprisoned for Sending Falun Gong Information

Mr. Hu Yong, an employee of Longyuan Power Company, was arrested by officers from the Wanyuan City Domestic Security Division in April 2015 and charged with using his cell phone and computer to share Falun Gong information.

Mr. Hu was released on bail after being held at the Dazhou City Detention Center for one month.

The Wanyuan City Police Department and the Procuratorate worked together to prosecute Mr. Hu; The Wanyuan City Court sentenced him to one year of probation in November 2015.

Mr. Hu was unexpectedly arrested on October 19 2016 and taken to the newly built Dazhou Prison by agents from the city police department, the Procuratorate, and the court.

According to insider information, two levels of the Political and Legal Affairs System in Dazhou and Sichuan Province recently announced that anyone who was given probation after 2012 should be imprisoned.
