(Minghui.org) Three Falun Gong practitioners, Ms. Li Guihua, Ms. Ma Xiurong, and Ms. Li Guiying from the Luyuan District of Changchun City, were arrested separately on the morning of October 25, 2016, by officers from the Sijianfang Police Station and the Changchun Domestic Security Division.

Officers said that the arrests were made to fill the quota assigned to them. They told the practitioners' families that they would be released in two weeks.

The practitioners were held in the Changchun No. 2 Detention Center.

All three practitioners' homes were ransacked, and Falun Gong books and other related materials were confiscated.

Ms. Ma Xiurong, 70, was sentenced to eight years in prison in 2008 for practicing Falun Gong. She was tortured and forced to sit on a small bench from 5 a.m. until midnight, causing severe injury to her buttocks. She was also made to attend brainwashing sessions. She was paroled on December 31, 2011.

Ms. Li Guiying, 49, was previously incarcerated in a forced labor camp for one and a half years and then held in a brainwashing center for a few months.
