(Minghui.org) My daughter recently shared her experiences with me about practitioners who do not look inward or cultivate themselves well. I didn't give it much thought, but I later realized that I also had similar thoughts about several practitioners.
I thought that they were harsh with me when my attachments surfaced and that their comments were not in line with the Fa. I also believe that there is division among practitioners.
After calmly thinking it over, I realized that what we see on the surface are just illusions, and so should not be affected by them. In my understanding, as long as someone is still cultivating, we should treat that person as a fellow practitioner.
Why do these phenomena exist? Although we are cultivating, we still have attachments that will manifest when we don't pay attention to them, especially during the final stage of Fa-rectification.
In addition, if we hold strong notions that practitioners behave like everyday people, we cannot treat them with compassion. This creates a division among ourselves and prevents us from cooperating well as one body.
The root of the problem lies within ourselves. We do not truly understand Teacher’s Fa and do not look inward unconditionally. If we don't recognize our problems and always hold negative thoughts or grudges toward other practitioners, we will form notions about them and cannot truly cultivate ourselves. The old forces will use this loophole to interfere with our projects and the saving of sentient beings.
Teacher said,
“With shared purpose did you come to the earth, ...” (“Fulfilling the Vow” from Hong Yin)
We need to do the three things well to be able to return to our origin with Teacher. We must let go of any negative thoughts toward practitioners and deny the old forces any opportunity to take advantage of our loopholes.
Let us form one body, unconditionally cooperate with one another, and do well in the final stage of Fa-rectification.
