(Minghui.org) In Xianning, Hubei Province, 331 people signed a petition calling for the release of three Falun Gong practitioners imprisoned for their belief: Ms. Tao Xizhen, Mr. Xu Changhong, and Ms. He Guihong.
The petition was addressed to Mu Hongyu, Director of the Petition Office of the Supreme Procuratorate.
Mr. Xu Changhong, 48, is a highly regarded pharmacist for the Xianning Central Hospital. However, because of his belief in Falun Gong's principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, he has been severely persecuted for 16 years and has experienced mental and physical torture. His relatives have also suffered enormously because of the “guilt by association” policy practiced by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
One month after Mr. Xu filed a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin, the former CCP dictator who launched the persecution of Falun Gong, he was arrested at his workplace and taken to a brainwashing center at the Hubei Law Education Center by Yao Xiong from the local 610 Office, Liu Ning from the Domestic Security Division, and about eight other officers. His arrest warrant was issued on September 9, 2015.
Ms. Tao Xizhen, in her 60s, is a retiree from the Xianning City Construction Company. She has been repeatedly persecuted because of her belief in Falun Gong.
Police officers from the local 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division broke into her home on August 8, 2014. She was taken to the Banqiao Brainwashing Center where she was tortured for almost three months.
Then, she was later transferred to the Xianan Detention Center. The Xianan Court has tried Ms. Tao several times without reaching a decision.
Ms. He Guihong is in her 40s. At the age of 26 she was diagnosed with several serious illnesses including anemia, a blood infection, and tuberculosis. However, she recovered after she practiced Falun Gong.
Because of her belief in Falun Gong, officials persecuted Ms. He to the point that she had to leave town. She was arrested in June 2015 and taken to the Banqiao Brainwashing Center, where she was tortured for three months. She was later transferred to the Xianan Detention Center.
