(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 21 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 17 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 31 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Wu Haibo, Ms. Liu Shaoqiong, and Ms. Zhuang Shaolan were arrested at home on December 2, 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin. Ms. Huang Yuqiong and Ms. Chen Yuzhen were arrested at home on December 9, 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin.

Mr. Wu was taken to a detention center. He was previously held in a labor camp for two years and sentenced to prison for three years.

The other four practitioners were taken to a brainwashing center.

2. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Li Guihua, her husband, Ms. Wang Shifen, and her daughter-in-law, all from Xiamatun Village, Xingang Neighborhood Administration, Gaoxin District, were arrested by officers from the Gangcheng Police Station on the evening of December 15, 2015. It was reported that Ms. Li's husband was beaten by the officers. The officers ransacked both homes and confiscated several computers, printers, equipment, Falun Dafa books, and photos of the founder of Falun Gong.

Ms. Lang Yanchun from Li Village in the Xingang Neighborhood Administration was also arrested that day. Her home was also ransacked.

3. [Xingtang County, Hebei Province] Ms. Gao Guoqin and Mr. Wang Arrested

Ms. Gao Guoqin from Zhiyang Village in Zhili Township was arrested by officers from the Zhili Township Police Station on December 15, 2015. Mr. Wang was also arrested. It was reported that both were held in the Shijiazhuang Detention Center.

4. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zhao Chenglin and Ms. Shi Fangyun, from Sanjia Village, Maquanzi Town, and Ms. Tong Yuexiang, from Manzhangzi Village, Qinglong Town, were arrested and taken to the Maquanzi Police Station by the police on December 13, 2015. Mr. Zhao was released that evening. Ms. Shi and Ms. Tong were taken to the Qinglong County Detention Center.

5. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Suyan Harassed

Officers from the Yuejin Police Station in the Zhanqian District twice broke into Ms. Xu Suyan's home to harass her on December 15, 2015. The officers brought a pre-written document and told Ms. Xu to sign it. She refused. They also ordered Ms. Xu to go to the police station. She refused to go with them.

6. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Ying Detained

Approximately twelve officers from the Wangdingdi Police Station in Nankai District broke into Ms. Wang Ying's home in Ruiliyuan Residential Community in Baoshandao area, Nankai District, on the morning of December 15, 2015. They confiscated all of the family's Falun Dafa books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, a computer, a printer, and other items.

They arrested and took Ms. Wang and her non-practitioner son to the police station. Ms. Wang's husband brought their son home later that night, at midnight. Ms. Wang was taken to the Nankai Detention Center that night.

7. [Yiyang City, Hunan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Ziyang District 610 Office, the Police Department, the Police Station, and Community arrested Mr. Xie Mingsheng and Ms. He Ailian on December 14, 2015. Mr. Xie was detained for 10 days. Ms. He's situations is unknown. The arresting officers had in hand practitioners' lawsuits, which had been returned to the local authorities after the Supreme Court and Supreme Procuratorate acknowledged receiving them, which was the reason for their arrest.

Ms. Xie Xiaoyun and Ms. Li Juanjuan were arrested on December 15, 2015. The officers ransacked Ms. Li's home and confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong and over 400 yuan worth of paper bills with information about Falun Gong printed on them.

Ms. Wen Qingfang, Ms. Wan Yonghong, Ms. Liu Xiaoyuan, and Ms. Zhou Xiuxia were arrested at a truth-clarification materials production site on the morning of December 15, 2015. Pu Yonglai, deputy head of the Domestic Security Division, and other officers ransacked the four practitioners' homes that afternoon.

Approximately twelve officers from the Yitong County Domestic Security Division and the 610 Office arrested Mr. Dong Weixing, a teacher at the Yitong Training School, on the morning of December 15, 2015. They ransacked Mr. Dong's home. Mr. Dong is detained in the Yitong County Detention Center.

Ms. Jia Shoufen was arrested at her home on July 21, 2015. She has been held in the Yantai Detention Center. Her lawyer met her at the detention center on December 14, 2015 and learned that Ms. Jia had started a hunger strike four days prior.

12. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jiao Fengzhen and Ms. Li Guirong Face Trial

Ms. Jiao Fengzhen and Ms. Li Guirong were arrested by officers from the Jiangbei Police Department in August 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin. The two practitioners were detained for 15 days. Both were again taken to the Baishan City Detention Center for refusing to renounce Falun Gong. Both are facing trial on December 17, 2015.

13. [Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Shuzhen, an employee at the No. 2 Salinization Plant, was arrested at work by officers from the Chengnan Domestic Security Division on the morning of December 10, 2015. She was detained for 15 days.

Ms. Wang Liying, a retired worker from the Yongji Motor Factory, received a phone call from the Yongji Public Security Department on December 11, 2015 regarding her lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. The officers told Ms. Wang pick a date to go to Yongji for questioning.

Elderly Ms. Jing Huifang, at the Yuncheng University family quarters, was harassed by two officers from the Yanhu District Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of December 14, 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin.

Mr. Xu Jinyou was arrested at home by several Domestic Security Division officers on the evening of December 16, 2015.

15. [Chicheng County, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Harassed

Officers from the Yangtian Township Police Station and Li Sheng, township government personnel, went to the homes of Mr. Li Yufu, Ms. Cao Yulian, Ms. Wang Xiuying, and Ms. Guo Jinhua at Yangjiafen Village in Yangtian Township on December 1, 2015 to question them about their lawsuits against Jiang Zemin.

16. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Elderly Ms. Guo Yuqin Detained

More than 16 practitioners in Qinghemen District were harassed or detained by officers from the local police station and community personnel for suing Jiang Zemin. Ms. Guo Yuqin, 71, who just came out of a hospital after suffering a stroke, was detained for five days.

After failing to locate a young female practitioner, the officers went to the school which her son attends. They found her son's teacher and her son. The officers threatened the child that if his mother did not go to the police station, he would not be allowed to go to school. The young mother was then detained for five days.

18. [Guang'an City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Liu Lulan, Ms. Yang Hongqiong, and Ms. Huang Yulian, from Wusheng County, were tried again by the Yuechi County Court on December 11, 2015. Ms. Liu and Ms. Yang were sentenced to two years in prison and Ms. Huang to three years. Currently, the three practitioners are held in the Huaying City Detention Center.

19. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Xuan Xianwei Detained Over a Month

Mr. Xuan Xianwei from Tiexi District was arrested by officers from the Xingshunjie Police Station on the morning of November 10, 2015. His home was ransacked. He has been held in the Tiexi District Detention Center for over a month. His parents, both over 80 years old, are waiting for their son to return home.

20. [Fuyu County, Heilongjiang Province] Severely Disabled Mr. Meng Zhaoshan Arrested

Yang Wanjin and Yuan Chunyu, officers from the Erdaowan Town Police Station, and other officers broke into Mr. Meng Zhaoshan's home on the morning of December 14, 2015. Mr. Meng, who is severely disabled, was taken to the police station. The officers tied him to an iron chair, and questioned him about his lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. Later, they dragged Mr. Meng out of the interrogation room, pushed him into a police vehicle, and took him to the Fuyu County Hospital for a physical exam.

Mr. Meng was taken to the Fuyu County Detention Center, where he suffered violent cramps in the evening. The detention center guards took him to the hospital in an ambulance. The guards called the Erdaowan Police Station, asking the police to take Mr. Meng home.

Ms. Zong Lirong was sentenced to four and a half years in prison. She was taken to the Liaoning Women's Prison in December 2015.
