(Minghui.org) In the fall of 2003, a farmer's wife was arrested because she got in a physical fight with her neighbor. She was detained for ten days.
It just so happened that I was also detained at the same place because I was a Falun Dafa practitioner.
Since we were in the same room, we began chatting. I told her about the wonders of Falun Dafa, and stories of cultivation. She listened attentively.
Later on, she told me,“I hoped to meet kindhearted people when I got thrown in here, and I did! I also want to learn Falun Dafa!”
She then hesitated, and spoke again.
“Wait, I will go back and curse my neighbor first and have my revenge. If I learn Falun Gong now, I can no longer do that!”
Well, she changed her mind again the next day and wanted me to teach her. So I taught her the exercises. When she finished the standing stance for 30 minutes, she was simply amazed.
“I have heart disease, did you know?” she said. “I can't stand for over 10 minutes at a time. I have to stop and rest many times when I cook at home. After I learned the exercise yesterday, I felt like my heart disease was gone. I stood for so long today and I didn't even feel tired. This is amazing! It would've been absolutely impossible in the past. I change my mind! I will not curse at my neighbor any more.”
She did the exercises every day since then. I also recited the poems in Hong Yin for her.
When she was released she was very grateful.
“Thank you, I did not come here in vain!” she said excitedly. “I obtained something priceless!”
After I was released eight months later, I found her through the address she left for me. I learned that she had persevered in practicing Falun Gong and proudly told me, “My body is practically made of iron! I can handle all sorts of heavy labor now!”
