610 Office Officials Blindly Continue Harassment

September 30, 2015 |   By Minghui correspondent from Hebei Province, China

(Minghui.org) The 610 Office in Li County, Hebei Province, along with local police, have harassed Falun Gong practitioners who filed criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin (the former Communist Party leader). These authorities have monitored and followed practitioners.

Officer Tang Jianxue has, since early August, harassed practitioners who have sued Jiang. Other officers have asked every practitioner in the area if they had sued Jiang and why they sued him. They videotaped practitioners and even their family members.

During this harassment, most practitioners clarified the truth and told the police officers why they sued Jiang in the clearest way they could, by telling them that Jiang is the root of corruption in China. He also started the persecution of Falun Gong, and ordered forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners. Suing Jiang is to help end the persecution. Moreover, the lawsuit will not only help resume the reputation of Falun Gong, but also help release those who had to follow instructions and participate in the persecution.

Put plainly, suing Jiang is a good thing. What's more, what will be the future of those who attempt to resist the lawsuits when Jiang is brought to justice?

Officials Keep Up the Pressure

Ms. Feng Wenzhen was released last year from her seven-year illegal prison sentence. She then went to visit her son in Dalian City, and on July 20, 2015, the head of Li County local government called her son, looking for her. Her son's whole family was pressured.

Ms. Zhao Limei's employer attempted to force her to write a guarantee statement promising to stop practicing Falun Gong, under pressure from the 610 Office. Otherwise, her salary would be suspended, they said.

Ms. Li Shutong was also harassed and threatened by local police. Her family was threatened by strangers who said that if Ms. Li failed to write a guarantee statement, her salary would be suspended.

Ms. Zhu Lihua from the county's Chinese Medical Hospital was harassed many times. She was not allowed to take vacations on sensitive dates.

Tong Tiegang, the head of Daquti local government, went to Ms. Guo Suying's home on July 8, 2015, and pressured her to write a statement corroborating that she had not filed a lawsuit against Jiang, and that she would no longer practice Falun Gong. Her entire family was under pressure. Officers took Ms. Guo to local a brainwashing center on July 22.

Mr. Liu Min was also taken to a brainwashing center around the same time. A few days before he was detained there, local government officials went to his home and pressured him to write a guarantee statement promising to stop practicing Falun Gong. Mr. Liumin's daughter and son told the local officials about the amazing changes in Mr. Liu after he began practicing Falun Gong. However, the officials forced Mr. Liu's son to sign the guarantee for Mr. Liu.

Background

In 1999 Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.

The persecution has led to the deaths of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners over the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.

Under his personal direction, the CCP established an extralegal security organ, the 610 Office, on June 10, 1999. This organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.

Chinese law now allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
