(Minghui.org) Local police arrested 14 Falun Gong practitioners from the Xiqing District of Tianjin City during August 2015, for suing Jiang Zemin. The police ransacked the homes of eight practitioners, forced one to agree in writing not to sue Jiang, and threatened family members of one that they would detain their practitioner family member.
Mr. Wang Yuhe was arrested on August 6 by officers from the Zhendong Police Station of Yangliuqing County. He is being held in the Xiqing Detention Center.
Ms. Pan Huifeng mailed her criminal complaint against Ziang on July 17, but it was held by the local post office. She told the post office staff twice the facts about Falun Gong, and was reported to the police. Officers from the Zhongbeizhen Police Station arrested her and ransacked her home on August 7. Ms. Pan is being held in the Xiqing Detention Center.
Police broke into Ms. Yang Yanhua’s house on August 19, and confiscated her computer, cell phone, and other belongings. Ms. Yang was not home at the time, and cannot return to her home because of a probable arrest.
Mr. Gao Xuewen’s home was broken into by officers from the Houtaicun Police Station. Mr. Gao was not home at the time. The police questioned his family and video recorded every corner of the house on August 19.
The same police officers broke into his house again in the afternoon, with a search and detention warrant, but the officers refused to show the warrants. Mr. Gao was arrested and his family members were ordered to sign the “criminal detention form.”
Ms. Zhang Lihua, 60, was questioned by the director and two policemen from the Xiyingmen Police Station on August 19. She was asked if she had filed complaints against Jiang and if she would continue to practice Falun Gong. She was arrested, her house ransacked and personal belongings confiscated on August 20. Ms. Zhang did not answer any questions. Her family was not allowed to see her at the police station. She was transferred to the Yangliuqing Detention Center on August 21.
Mr. Guo Jianzhong had his home broken into by officers from the Zhendong Police Station of Yangliuqing County, who tried to arrest him but failed. The police ransacked the home and confiscated his computer, printer, and other belongings on August 20. The police shouted that he would be punished for filing a lawsuit against Jiang.
Mr. Zhu Changjin was arrested and taken to the Liqizhuang Police Station on August 20. She was threatened by two police station officials, and forced to agree in writing that she would not sue Jiang.
Officers from the Xiyingmen Police Station broke into Ms. Yuan Mingzhen’s home and arrested her on August 20. Her house was ransacked and her Falun Gong books and other items were confiscated. The police demanded that she provide the names and addresses of other practitioners who joined her suing Jiang.
Mr. Zhang Zhishan and another elderly woman Falun Gong practitioner who lives in the same community were arrested by officers from the Xiyingmen Police Station on August 20. They were transferred to the Yangliuqing Detention Center the next day. Mr. Zhang’s mother and his wife went to the police station. Police threatened that he would be held for 30 days, or might be sentenced to prison, for refusing to renounce Falun Gong. The homes of bBoth practitioners were ransacked, and personal belongings were confiscated.
Mr. Hanzhijin was arrested by officers from the Zhendong Police Station of Yangliuqing County on August 21. His computer and Falun Gong books were confiscated. Mr. Han is being detained at the Xiqing Detention Center.
Ms. Zhang Hongyan and Ms. Wang Rufang were arrested by officers from the Xinkouzhen Police Station on August 24.
Ms. Gong Yulan was arrested by officers from the Zhendong Police Station of Yangliuqing County, who ransacked her home on August 31. It is not known what was confiscated.
Over 176,000 practitioners and their family members from inside and outside of China have mailed their criminal complaints to the Supreme People’s Court and Supreme People’s Procuratorate in Beijing, PRC as of September 12, according to the Minghui website. Despite efforts to block delivery of the letters, more than 100,000 complaints arrived at their destination.
