Lawsuits Against Jiang Zemin Create Opportunities to Explain the Facts about Falun Gong

September 02, 2015 |   By a Falun Gong practitioner in China

(Minghui.org) More than 160,000 lawsuits against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist regime who launched the persecution of Falun Gong, have been filed with the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme People's Court since the end of May 2015.

Government authorities who still abide by Jiang's persecution policy have not only harassed practitioners, but have also arrested those who have filed a criminal complaint.

Some local authorities do not yet know that the lawsuits against Jiang Zemin are based on the new lawsuit filing registration system established by the Chinese Supreme Court. The system requires that all lawsuits be registered and all complaints be addressed. Each lawsuit filed by Falun Gong practitioners testifies to the persecution that they suffered. The lawsuits also detail how Jiang Zemin has violated China's laws.

Practitioners Cooperate to Stop Persecutory Actions

There are quite a few cases in a certain county in China where police have harassed, arrested and ransacked the homes of Falun Gong practitioners who filed criminal complaints against Jiang.

Many fellow practitioners shared their experiences and took cooperative action to expose the persecution.

The Domestic Security Division of our county recently ordered police substations in each township to visit practitioners. They wanted to prevent practitioners from going to Beijing and petition for justice for Falun Gong. Additionally, the Supreme People's Court asked local authorities to verify the criminal complaints it received.

Practitioners were asked to sign three different documents. Many did not sign, but explained the facts about Falun Gong to the police.

However, in some areas, police ransacked the homes of some practitioners and arrested them. Some police asked for Falun Gong books. Therefore, many practitioners refused to comply and warned the police not to be an accomplice to Jiang's persecution.

Persecutors Listen to the Facts about Falun Gong

Practitioners shared experiences and decided to talk to officials at the Domestic Security Division about Falun Gong and the persecution. Two practitioners met with the department head and others sent forth righteous thoughts nearby on August 21, 2015. He asked them to identify themselves and provide a reason for their visit.

One practitioner told him that they were practitioners who wanted to talk to him about Falun Gong and the persecution of this cultivation practice.

The official was stunned, because no one had talked to him in person about Falun Gong since he had become involved in the persecution. He listened carefully and accepted software to get around the Internet firewall, which would allow him to visit websites overseas.

Four practitioners went to see the police chief and talked to him about Falun Gong and the persecution. About 80 practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts near the police station.

Some practitioners were concerned that the police would visit practitioners to verify the complaints and identify the complainant. Actually, this was a good opportunity for practitioners to explain the facts.

“We should confirm that we filed a complaint against Jiang Zemin when asked by police,” said one practitioner. “Let's not pass up the opportunity to talk to them about the persecution.”

Some practitioners suggested that we begin a signature collection drive to spread the news about the lawsuits and call for an end to the persecution. At the same time, we can advise the public to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.
