(Minghui.org) Purdue Falun Dafa Student Association invited local Falun Dafa practitioners to introduce the practice to students at the “Boilermaker Get-Involved Fair” at Memorial Mall on August 22.
Introducing Falun Dafa to students at Purdue University
Many students, including those from China, stopped by to learn about Falun Dafa.
Purdue University has a very multicultural student body, and the highest number of Chinese students at any university in the United States. More than 1,000 new students come from China each year.
Falun Dafa practitioners set up a booth with display boards and a banner stating Falun Dafa's principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. They demonstrated the exercises behind the table where Falun Dafa books in different languages were placed.
The event was a great success. Some new Chinese students were surprised to see Falun Dafa since in their native China, the practice is banned and persecuted.
Several Chinese students who were aware of the persecution approached practitioners to ask questions. A young man asked where he could find Epoch Times newspapers. A couple of new Chinese students wanted to get Falun Dafa books to read. They found that the books are free online, and promised to visit the Falun Dafa websites to learn more.
