Police No Longer Rewards Those Who Report Practitioners

August 27, 2015 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in Sichuan Province, China

(Minghui.org) I am in a Falun Dafa practitioner in my 70s who has quite a few stories to share.

Police Chief Does Not Persecute Practitioners

A practitioner and I ran into a woman who looked obviously in pain. We immediately asked her to recite “Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” with us. In no time she got better and kept thanking us. We then took the opportunity to tell her the facts about Falun Dafa is and why the Chinese Communist Party is persecuting the practice.

We were surrounded by many passersby, and one of them reported us to the police, because the police is known to reward people for this type of action.

We were just about to leave, when a police officer arrested us. I thought that this was a great opportunity to talk to the police about Dafa.

At the police station, the police asked me to sit down, but I insisted on standing, so that every officer in the room could hear me. I told them not to persecute Dafa and about the benefits of practicing it.

The police listened attentively. They agreed and the officer who had arrested me told me that they all understood what I told them, and asked to take me home. Instead, I asked him to take me to the residential committee, so that I could also talk to them about Dafa.

“You should be mindful of your safety,” he said. “We no longer reward those who report practitioner.”

I found out later that this officer was the new police chief.

Men Who Try to Report Me to Police Become Quiet and Still

Two practitioners and I went to a market to tell people about Falun Dafa. The two practitioners talked to an older man, who began to shout and threatened to report them to the police. The two practitioners left, while I decided to talk to him and hopefully change his mind.

A man on a bike approached the two practitioners and yelled at him to turn in the Dafa informational materials they had on them. The practitioners left to avoid trouble.

The man then headed toward me and asked what I had in my bag. I avoided his question and he grabbed my bag.

“Why are you robbing an old lady in broad daylight,” I yelled while I held onto my bag. “Stop what you are doing right now!”

I asked Teacher to stop him. I began to talk about Dafa, and these two just stood there quietly and listened. It was as if they were frozen.

After I was done, I asked Teacher to protect me and stop the two from following me because it was still early and I had other places to go. I got home safely and talked to more people about the practice along the way.
