(Minghui.org) More than 150,000 Falun Gong practitioners and their family members filed criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), between the end of May and August 20, 2015. They urge the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme People's Court to bring Jiang to justice for his abuses of power in orchestrating the persecution of Falun Gong in China.
Copies of 9,643 complaints from 11,068 people were submitted to the Minghui website during the past week of August 14 to 20, 2015.
In total, copies of 132,060 complaints from 157,851 Falun Gong practitioners and their family members were submitted to the Minghui website between the end of May and August 20, 2015. Among the plaintiffs, 156,080 are from mainland China and 1,771 are from 27 other countries.

Between January to the end of July 2015, over 3,500 people in Zhangjiakou City, including its suburbs and nearby counties in Hebei Province, signed a petition calling for a thorough investigation of Jiang's crimes, including the harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.
“Who did this!? Let's look for him and find out who ordered him to do this,” said one person who signed the petition.

Ten Swiss politicians wrote to Chinese President Xi Jinping on August 10, 2015, urging him to help bring Jiang to justice. Their letter stated, “Given the direction in which China wants to move and the 111,000 complaints filed so far, it is hoped that you can facilitate the arrest of former President Jiang Zemin and those responsible for this disgrace, and bring them to justice to stand trial for these crimes.”
“The world is watching, and we are all witnesses. Our duty is to make this appeal because one day history will judge our response to these crimes that cannot go unpunished.”
The elected officials include four Swiss Federal Members of Parliament: MP Dominique de Buman, MP Carlo Sommaruga, MP Didier Berberat, and MP Leuenberger Ueli; five members of the Grand Council of the Canton of Geneva: Marc Falquet,Henry Rappaz, M. T. Engelberts, Lydia Schneider Hausser, and Buschbeck Mathias; and Jean- Daniel Vigny, former Permanent Representative of the Swiss Confederation to the United Nations.

Craig Kelly of Australia, Member of Parliament and co-chair of Parliamentarians Against Forced Organ Harvesting (PAFOH), called the practice of forced organ harvesting “reprehensible,” and pledged to continue working with Falun Gong practitioners to expose the issue and stop the crime against humanity.
“It is a barbaric and cruel practice that has no place in our world, and it is pleasing to see that all nations are taking strides against this,” Mr. Kelly added.
To stop the inhumane organ trafficking, David Shoebridge, Member of Parliament of New South Wales, submitted a petition with over 70,000 signatures and a bill, “New South Wales Human Tissue Amendment (Trafficking in Human Organs) Bill 2015,” which won support from other lawmakers.

Falun Gong practitioners and their family members describe how they have benefited from practicing Falun Gong and how they have suffered as a result of the brutal persecution. They used their real names despite the ongoing persecution in China.
The plaintiffs include governmental officials, managers, technical personnel, doctors, lawyers, professors, laborers, farmers, and business owners.
Among the over 132,060 complainants:
• 3,495 became handicapped or had family members tortured to death.• 18,828 had multiple family members persecuted.• 22,287 were incarcerated in forced labor camps or prisons.• 652 were incarcerated in mental hospitals.• 54,449 were held in detention centers or brainwashing centers.• 27,399 suffered economic losses due to extortion, loss of employment, or having their salaries or pensions reduced or suspended.• 7,732 had family members who lost their jobs, were expelled from school, had mental breakdowns, or passed away as a result of the persecution.
A police officer in Fushun City, Liaoning Province, called Mr. Liu Yue and asked if he had submitted a complaint. Upon obtaining Mr. Liu's confirmation, the officer then told him, “I am impressed by you [Falun Gong practitioners]. I have made so many phone calls, and no one has denied mailing their complaint.”
Three members of the European Parliament, Dr. Cornelia Ernst and Prof. Klaus Buchner, both from Germany, and Merja Kyllönen from Finland, sent a joint letter to the Chinese Supreme People's Procuratorate on July 20, 2015, urging Procurator General Cao Jianming to prosecute Jiang Zemin for the persecution of Falun Gong and the systemic, state-sanctioned harvesting of organs from Falun Gong practitioners.
In their joint letter, the three MEPs stated that these crimes threaten world peace and safety, and criticized the Chinese government for extending its persecution overseas.
They also expressed their respect for Falun Gong practitioners, citing their courage in filing criminal complaints against Jiang Zemin. They said that the compassion and courage demonstrated by practitioners will encourage the international community to join in taking action to end the persecution.
Many Chinese became excited upon learning of the lawsuits against Jiang. One said, “You are eliminating harm for the people. Jiang persecuted Falun Gong when he was in power. He encouraged corrupted officials to do bad things. He should have been arrested.”
In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.
Over the past 16 years, more than 3,800 Falun Gong practitioners have been confirmed tortured to death. The actual toll is likely higher, because such information is tightly censored in China. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.
Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the 610 Office, on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
